Default U.s. Presidential Election

let's have some fun. i'm going to start by laying down some rules for participating in this thread:

1.) voting-age US citizens only (age 18+)
2.) be respectful and courteous. disagreements will happen, but keep it smart and respectful.

here's what i want to know:
are you voting? why?
what issues matter to you?

let's not talk about WHO you're voting for. let's talk about whether or not you're going to be participating, and what matters to you...and don't talk to me, talk to one another.

Ooh, nice. I really like the idea of this. I tried to do this and people just bashed me. They'll probably pay more attention to yours.

I feel like voting mainly because my brother is in Iraq right now. HOWEVER, I'm not sure who the best candidate is. So, that makes it hard. Sometimes I feel like my vote won't count. Coming from Indiana, I live in a place full of Republicans. I'm Democrat, so, it's kind of pointless for a Democrat to vote when surrounded by Republicans.

I must also point out that I'm going to vote. No matter who I vote for, I will do it. It's my right.

If you have any respect for the men and women that are fighting to keep that right safe (my brother amongst them), vote.

well i voted for clinton back in like february.. and it looks like shes done for in this election.. the things important to me is the war in iraq and the cost of living these days.. i think the troops should be pulled out right away and that we never should have been there in the first place.. its kind of sad to not know exactly why we are in a war.. and then the cost of living is just crazy here.. prices of gas, apartments, milk, bread, everything is just so high!.. its really hurting alot of people.. healthcare is also so expensive.. you have a heart attack, they save you, then you get a bill for $5000..

i feel no matter who wins though not much will change anyway
