Old Or New LP?

i need everyones opinions... is the old lp better then the new?
in my opinion i would listen to the old stuff over the new stuff anyday, i dont like the direction they went in for writing...
it doesnt even sound like them anymor:( :(

many of their songs always seem to hit home and this new album was actually no different.

I would listen to old LP before new anyday, but that's just because I like that style more. New LP is great, but I just like their older stuff more.

i like ht more than meteora than mtm, but some of the new songs are still quite good. anyway i think there enough lp songs so that everybody likes some songs more and some less.

I like the new sound. But I would have to say I really like the old sound. That's what caught my attention and started me up on Linkin Park. But the new sound is cool I can't say I hate it.

That's difficult for me, i see their development during these years as a good thing, i think that as they're older now they wouldn't still writing songs about adolescent's world, it doesn't make sense. As a matter of fact we, the fans, have to face it, they're normal people like us, you know, so people usually changes, and they're artist, so they need to write some new kind of stuff, to do experiments, i think they have the right to do that, so i think that choose the old lp or the new, at least for me, it's really difficult, 'cause is almost like choose a period of your life.

Personally from what I've heard in "What I've Done", I'm liking their new stuff a lot better. I don't know maybe it's just me, but I'm sure other will say different.

The new album is different from the old ones, and is great in a dfferent way. Parts of this album like "Shadow of the day", "Bleed it out" and "Given up" is so damn awesome! While some of the others like "Valentines day" and "In between" is so different from regular LP songs that it takes a few listenings to truly appreciate them. :)

This new album is definitely hard to grasp after 6 years of amazing music. Their last tour was awesome with Korn, Snoop Dogg and The Used. Minutes to Midnight is a very different concept and it may take a while to appreciate the difference but I think as a true Linkin Park fan, we have to support our band be ready for whatever they throw at us. If we support this record, their label will let them continue to put out more music and I guarantee it won't take 4 years the next time around.

I think the band took a step in a good direction with this album, it seems more mature to me. The old style is still awsome, i just like the new a bit more.

I can't really say.. but I bought Minutes to Midnight the day it came out after I previewed it the night before. I was a bit unsure about buying it, but it's an LP album, so I did. Three days later, it's one of my favorite albums EVAH. So.. I GUESS I could say that as long as Linkin Park keeps the heavier stuff coming (like No More Sorrow, Bleed It Out, Given Up, ect.) both before and after are good.

I agree. Old stuff was musically amazing. Their older music has way more personality and 'bang.' It emotes me. Their new stuff is just.. blah. Similar to most stuff you hear on the radio. Not a fan.

I prefer both of them. All the directions that they take are fantastic. I think that HT and Meteora are as good as M2M

meteora is my top selection out of the 3 lps. but i'm feeling the new stuff so when they play live they have a good selection of stuff.
