View Full Version : The LPMBer of the week #8: Emma (Flames_Go_Higher)
Kazuo_Kiriyama
07-24-2008, 06:10 AM
What it is: The LPMBer of the week is a way to get to know other members of the board and hopefully bring the community together a bit. Every week, a new interview will start and an old interview could probably be locked and archived. Please try to keep this thread only about the person being interviewed. When it's your turn, you're welcome to talk about yourself as much as you want
How it works: All questions and answers will stay in this thread (maybe someone could sticky this?); all questions are optional however. After a week, the interviewed person will then choose the next person to be interviewed. It is preferred that you pick someone that you do not know very well as the purpose of this thread is to get to know your fellow posters.
This is supposed to be fun! Hopefully there will be a mix of both serious and humorous questions (and answers!)
Current Interviewee:
Emma, AKA Flames_Go_Higher

A nice quiet(ish) spot in Central Park is always good. Although if it's too cold i'll go with The Bread Factory, on 7th... their croissants are amazing.

As you live in Leeds, which do you prefer:
Leeds United or Leeds Rhinos?
Flames_Go_Higher

Leeds United generally, but Rhinos are doing better at the moment and I do find rugby a more interesting sport.

I find Vodka Revolution usually provides that environment <3

Say your plane crashed in the middle of the desert and there was no source of hydration around, luckily before your plane crashed leaving you as the sole survivor, you had already drank your complimentary beverage and now had a full bladder, being that the nearest town is lets say a 3 day walk away, and your cell phone was ruined in the plane crash, but you were able to salvage a working gps system, would you drink your own urine to survive?

Hehe. :) And why thank you.
Ooh there's been a couple recently - Reem and Balibollocks. Of all time I'll go with Blaire as she has a couple more brain cells than the others although she's been too quiet recently.
I like the pear one.
Question: Is there a decent bar near the Costa in Leeds? Im there on the 4th!
I can drink pear, it's quite nice, and it got Mr Cute Arse into cider.
Yes, about a 2 min walk away there's a good Vodka Revolution, or Nu Bar which is across the road and down.

"Clubbed To Death" is fucking ace. my favorite song on the Matrix soundtrack by leaps and bounds. have you heard the rest of Rob Dougan's Furious Angels album?
and QOTSA Songs For The Deaf, I was addicted to that album like drugs for weeks after I got it. I'm seriously putting it on like now.

Hahaha why the hell not? I've heard some songs and loved every one of them. Should really get around to hearing the rest.
It really is just one of those albums you can listen to again at any point and it's still brilliant.
Reloaded still pretty good, Revolutions not so much.

As a newly qualified corporate lawyer, living in London with a pretty little flat somewhere.

they used the song "Furious Angels" on the Matrix: Reloaded soundtrack and it is also ace. it always gets me visualizing angels and demons fighting capoeira style surrounded by flames. maybe I play too many computer games. :p
did you know about the ultra-hidden "track zero" on the CD? <<< question for this post ;)
I'll agree with that. don't remember much of Revolutions, but Reloaded is pretty vivid in my mind.

Nope, can't afford it. :(
if i visited leeds for a week, where would you take me? oh and me specifically. hopefully, it involves stalking a certain someone.
There's a little-known seaside resort near me called Blackpool. It's rather good, with a nice beach, good shops and an ace theme park. I think you'd quite like it there. Can't think why...

it's been called "The Real Song For The Deaf". it consists of just weird low-frequency beeps and tones... I guess it's like something a deaf person would be able to experience through feeling vibrations rather than hearing them? it's hidden in the pregap of the CD (meaning the space before the official start of track 1).

we have them at work. they do cause vibrations so the deaf can feel rather than here them. some are used for tests to see how deaf a person is and how the react to certain noises.

twins separated at birth, maybe? twins that are... seven years apart? that's one hell of a long birth. you probably came out first, I was too lazy to move. :p
go ahead and put the CD in a real CD player (i.e. not your computer, neither Windows Media Player nor WinAMP can see the pregap). start track 1 and then rewind back past the beginning. the counter should go down to zero and then go negative. you can rewind all the way to about -1'33. if you go too far though, the CD will go back to the zero point.
apparently there are a whole load of CDs with this trick in place.

Yeah I think 28 is a generic age for anyone not with someone.
Big wedding or low key affair?

Not gunna happen, it requires admins and since Jason left in a huff after Kieran came back there's not been any around.
Kazuo_Kiriyama
07-29-2008, 05:20 AM
I know, I know. Not that he would have done anything if he hadn't left in a huff anyway. I didn't think Jason was admin anyways, I thought it was Wendy and Justin. :/
Flames_Go_Higher
07-29-2008, 05:22 AM
lol I didn't think Justin was an admin. Wendy said she was going to give us a name change thread 6 months ago and just never came back.
Kazuo_Kiriyama
07-29-2008, 05:23 AM
Yeah Justin was an admin back when Wendy first became one, I think. Dunno if he is anymore. I know that about Wendy, I think she's been busy lately though. Summer school, working and what have you.

Soon I need a new picture but I'm so lazy to get presentable just to take one.
It does. But it also means you have to live 2 hours away and commute 6 hours a day because Keith is too scared to meet you because of how awesome you are.
