Oh shit! I pretty much never visit this place, but sometimes it's interesting to see what you can find without expecting it. I've been pretty good cheers, just gearing up for my final two months of full-time work before I head off to 3 years of the university life instead. I should hide the fact I'm 24 and I'll be surrounded by 18/18 year olds mind, hurrah!

Dude, I'm 24 and I'm gearing up for 8 years of university life.

The place I'm going to is a 4 to 1 female to male ratio. And I have no problem at all with getting friendly with the 19 year olds. (18 is too young however).

Is it the fact that you will be surrounded by the 18 year old mind that causes fright (?), or the fact that you will be slightly older than everyone else? If it is the latter, no worries. You will blend in fine, at least when compared to the 40+ year olds I have encountered in my classes -- rarely, but it happens. I do hope you do not blend in mentally, however! What are you going to be studying?

My life is amazing at the moment. I don't think I have ever been more content and I mean that wholeheartedly. I am still going to school, but currently on vacation until late August. If things go as planned for me, I will be on your side of the ocean next June/July. Consider yourself warned. ;)

It's mainly that I know they'll be getting drunk/being random and crazy most of the time and I've already been through and left those years behind me. Not the end of the world though!

I'll be studying English, mainly Literature but a few Language and Creative Writing modules along the way. Hoping to use it towards either entering journalism or teaching once I'm finished, at the ripe old age of 27 :o

Good to hear things are going well for you, hope you're making the most of the gap between school! You coming over just for some travelling or have you been tempted to reside in the Unitedly Great British Kingdom instead full-time?
