I, too, think that these games are stupid. Like heyosnow said, why not spend that money on an actual instrument and actually gain some talents that may help you later on?

Also, I hate these games for the fact that people who know nothing about older artists see a cool song on there and think, "WOW!! DIS BAND ROX!!111" Perfect example: Sweet Child O Mine. Ask anyone who plays that game to name a GNR song (or any artist for that matter) and their first answer will be Sweet Child O Mine. Not saying the games don't teach rythm and timing and shit like that, but I'm not a fan.

Personally, I'd rather play a cool lick or solo on a real guitar rather than looking like a complete fool.

I personally dont care. Because i wont be getting Rock Band 2. Im too cheap. I might get GH4. But again thats kinda expensive...

But yeah. All these nerds will freak out and think they know Linkin Park. Just cause they can play OSC on Rock Band.

I'm a lifelong musician. Rhythm games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero teach you dexterity, rhythm recognition, and hand-eye coordination that can all be applied to actual musical instruments. My soloing technique on real guitar has gotten better since I started playing Guitar Hero because I can move my fingers faster now. Shut up, you're an idiot, which you've proven time and time again. This is the second time in the past 24 hours alone.

And have you ever played an instrument fool? You think you can "just pick it up" and start playing? It takes some months to even remember the name of each string from high to low *EBGDAe* Not everyone has the time to learn an instrument, and FIND others who know how to play equally as good, and start making music. Not everyone is "gifted", well tech. you don't need to be gifted to play an instrument, but thats another point. Some just want to play a damn game and have fun with it, ever heard of those two words in a sentence???? GAME and FUN. And I play guitar myself, and trust me, it does help in various areas.

When you grow up, you tend to realize the not everyone has the same taste, same opinion, so it might shock you to find out that not everyone is a big fan of music. This is just one way actually to introduce how fun it can be playing an instrument to a person who was never really interested.

and btw. the maker of Guitar Hero *one of them* is an avid guitar player, get your facts straight buddy.

Heyosnow, what the stereotypical approach your going on about. HOWEVER, you do realise Guitar Hero & Rock Band is created by people that play their own instruments.

My face is burnt, and got back from Projekt Revolution (Milton Keynes) sunday night, and i love playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band. That is not to mention i ALSO play the drums. and i started to learn guitar a few weeks back.

My friend is an actor and has been in a lot of promotional work.

My other friend is a performer and is in the london west end production of we will rock you.

My other friend owns an eletrical company.

and guess what, all of these love playin guitar hero and rock band. So please, reconfigure whatever braincelss are telling you what you are saying is logical.

ANYWAY, back on topic:

Man, Linkin park on rock band is guna awsome. No more sorrow wasnt the best track to slam onto guitar hero. There are so many better tracks that coulda gone onto it. Theres one track of MTM that i cant remember the name of..."So you, you will be alone....alone with all your secrets, and regrets!" it has an amazing guitar solo in the middle.

anyway, i hope more of LP appear on rock band a guitar hero!

Wow, casual fan much? LOL. That's In Pieces, and yes, it's a great song. The solo in that and TLTGYA are quite impressive for an LP solo.

i watch anime, i eat french fries, and i play rockband 2...

oh btw, i also longboard, goto concerts (like projekt rev), run marathons, get wasted partying... why? coz because i have life!!!

anyways, NEED more LP songs in rock band to satisfy LP addiction!!

There is going to be a way for them to import their own music and profit off of it via Rock Band. Hopefully they take advantage of it.

Due to the nature of linkin park's music. Having Linkin Park songs on Rock Band would not translate for a good fun experience.

The only beneficial instruments would be.. vocals / drums. The rest is all manufactured and layered too simple to translate to fun on guitar or bass.


If we were to get any Linkin Park on Rock Band, it would most likely be MTM Linkin Park. Disregard any Hybrid Theory Linkin Park.. because the only other 2 tracks that can make the cut are:
