YES for Misanthropy

Since I had a lovely conversation with Ash that we both noticed that people cause our miserable feelings, I thought about creating this thread. The key to avoid it, MISANTHROPY. So much of how I came up with this thread.

But now, first of all, to the definition of Misanthropy in general:


"Misanthropy is a general dislike, distrust, or hatred of the human species, or a disposition to dislike and/or distrust other people. The term is also applicable to those who self-exile themselves or become loners because of the aforementioned feelings. The word comes from the Greek words μίσος ("hatred") and άνθρωπος ("man, human being"). A misanthrope or misanthropist is a person who dislikes or distrusts humanity as a general rule."

Reasons for Misanthropy are, for example:

People hurt you.
People are selfish.
People lie.
People are ignorant and dumb.
People destroy the nature and environment.
People kill people.
People poison the society.
People create a society!
People are sheep and follow leaders.

Don't come up with positive shit like "People are different", "not all are bad" or "this thread sux"

This just proofs my point

I'm thankful about suggestions about how to become Dr.House. kthanx.

PS. We are emotional, caring people who just made bad experiences over years. So we just decided to change our poorly, worrying being. Being an asshole is not bad at all.

It's hard to discuss a topic like this. Misanthropy is something that can be misinterpreted easily. Is dark humor misanthropical? Is genocide misanthropical? Where's the thin line you should not step over? You think you can take such a thing serious without poking yourself right in the eyes?

It's like questioning if The Comedian (Watchmen/Alan Moore) is good or bad. This world does not raise good nor bad people. The answer must be something like what Fight Club's narrator has stated: we are not special, we are not crap or trash either, we just are.

It's hard to tell. Have been isolating myself from society to an extend for a while, but I won't say that I hate people. I don't. I love them, the way Jean-Paul Sartre would love them. So where do I stand.
