how many people think that No Roads Left should become a single instead of Leave Out All The Rest?

I totally agree with you!
NRL is an awesome song and much better than LOATR (even though I like this song too)
And it should become a single surely!!
I'd love to see it.. even though it's impossible to happen :(

I don't really understand why they picked that song, because it has the same sound as Shadow of the day (which again, I didn't think was a good pick for a single, but a lot of non LP fans like it, so maybe they were right)

But if this is the last single of the album (?) they could've picked something better, like NRL! or TLTGYA or In Pieces or No More Sorrow... anything else but LOATR. Actually, I'm just glad they did pick Valentine's Day.

They never picked this song.

They never picked Vday either.

I can't see any similarity between SOTD and NRL.

I really love NRL but I kinda prefer LOATR. And to be honest the starting guitar in NRL is kinda annoying and non-lp fans would definitely like LOATR more than NRL.

yeh i should read my post before posting. what I meant was why would they pick LOATR when they have other great songs to choose from. and that LOATR is similar to SOTD in the way it sounds and the feel of it, I think. I wasn't talking about NRL, I LOVE NRL, I defo think it should be a single.

and in the end I meant to write 'I'm just glad they didn't pick Valentine's day', because the only thing I like about that song is the very, very beginning when chester sings the first words. then it gets crap.

no roads left would be a good single but...

INSTEAD of leave out all the rest??

no way. leave out all the rest is a must be single.

I like Leave Out All The Rest, but to me, it's nothing compared to No Roads Left.
NRL is one of my favourite songs, and becoming a single would be brilliant, but it's never going to happen.
I reckon they will play it live one day, but it won't be hitting the charts.

because they don't want the same stress again they had with nrl ;)

You heard wrong, then, I'd guess. LP are nowhere near the stage where they should be putting out a "best of" album, in my opinion, and I know many agree. There've been rumours of them making one before.

Then again, there were also rumours of them coming out with a third studio album. :D Ha. But, seriously, I don't think there'll be a "best of" any time soon.

If it's so important for NRL to be a single, they should just make an EP or something with the MTM b-sides and maybe QWERTY. Then both No Roads Left and QWERTY could be singles. Hooray!!!11111

I like all of it, but the chorus did kind of throw off the emotion in the song.

Am I the only one who likes Valentine's Day in its entirety? I love it, it’s like one of my most played songs (I didn’t realise I liked it that much). It’s a new and different structure, having the Valentine's Day chorus at the end I thought was amazing, the song would have been soooo boring otherwise, and slightly emo.

i think LPU 8 is some demos of MTM

I doubt that as well, if WB hasn't made LP burn them all already (like with the Meteora ones, DAM IT), they will use them to generate something for the next album (which I would prefer).

I think LPU8 should have ether remixes or the MTM tracks which Mike sang as well as Chester (like TLTGYA, when those lucky basted s(excuse my French) got to go into the studio and "hang" with LP, Mike played a version of TLTGYA with him singing instead of Chester), or the version of Chester singing NRL. If it’s live tracks again (which would probably already be realised) I will kick a baby.

That would be so stupid if they did, especially in these times, where people can choose which songs they want to pick from an album, the only good thing that it would do is lower the amount of albums left with WB and bring in some cash.

I really like NRL and completely agree for it to be a single but I don't think even 5000 signatures will get anywhere; you need a better way of reaching the LP audience. What would be a good idea to reach a lot of people would be when the "leave out all the rest" video is realised/leaked and the rush to upload it onto YouTube happens, be the first to upload it (possibly flood YouTube with the same video) and before or after the video starts just put a little message saying "sign the NRL petition blah blah" and put a link in the side description :D, just an idea :D.

I never said I didn't like the entirety of Valentine's Day. I love it all. I'm just saying that the chorus kind of threw of the original emotion it had with the first verses.

this is the artical:

As Linkin Park prepares for its upcoming North American tour, frontman Chester Bennington is predicting a much shorter turnaround for the group's follow-up to 2007's "Minutes to Midnight."

"We sparked a new kind of life into what we do during the writing of ('Midnight')," Bennington told Billboard.com. "We want to keep that going. I think we're in the mode, and I have a good feeling we're going to put another record out really quickly."

Bennington said Linkin Park will bring recording gear on the road to capture ideas that come up while they're on tour. In addition to the North American jaunt with Coheed & Cambria and Chiodos that kicks off February 12 in Omaha, Neb., the group plans to host another edition of its Projekt Revolution tour this summer; bands and dates are expected to be announced within the next couple of months.

"There was a long period of time between the release of 2003's 'Meteora' and 'Minutes to Midnight'," Bennington said. "Even though we did tour (for 'Meteora') for two years, we didn't start working on writing ('Midnight') until seven months after we stopped touring. So it seemed like a really, really long time to our fans and it seemed like a really, really long time to us. I don't see that happening again."

Bennington didn't want to hazard a guess as to what Linkin Park's fourth studio album will sound like, however. "I never anticipate what we're gonna do," he explained. "I find that overplanning a creative project usually means you're gonna screw it up, so I really don't focus on what we're gonna do. When a song comes, I'll write it. When a song comes to (vocalist/keyboardist/guitarist) Mike (Shinoda), he'll put an idea down. We just kind of roll with it spontaneously."
