Are there some announcements for new album

Not really. Just interviews with band members that say it will be made earlier than Minutes to Midnight because, first,they had a hard time making songs on Minutes to Midnight. Second, They have been influenced by a lot of things lately and they have been able to make songs more quickly than Minutes to Midnight. Hopefully they'll have it by 2009. If they're generous, maybe they'll put something on LPU 8.0

the thing is that it didn't take them much time to actually record mtm (6 months if i remember correctly). it's been that much time between meteora and mtm because they had been doing a lot of other stuff in that time e.g. there were live in texas, collision course, fort minor, making of the seed, and chester building up dbs. i read somewhere that they want to go back to the studios between their concerts in milton keynes and their first us dates. maybe they'll start recording their next album even this year.
