Meteora: 5th Anniversary

Meteora was released on the 25/3/2003 which makes today it's fifth anniversary!

Happy Anniversary! :D

Not perhaps as big a date to remember as Hybrid Theory's release, aka 'Linkin Park Day', but it's still a significant mile stone I think. Well, it's not the aniversery in the U.S. yet. We have to wait about, at the time I'm posting this, 4hrs and 30min for Central Standard Time. But there's nothing like a celebration for a celebration *opens up a tequila bottle*.

Oh, crap I forgot lol. Meteora brings back a lot of memories when I remembered most of the songs I liked from LP was from Meteora.

I became a fan the moment I bought Meteora on it's release date (and Hybrid Theory & Reanimation on the same day, hehe), so this is very special for me as well.

but the way I see it is taking in account of what Mike said about the title: That it was supposed to sound "epic" and that was my mindset for the name Meteora.

The title does sound more epical than Hybrid Theory or MTM, so to me, it doesn't feel right to give it a nickname, you know?

Ahh...Meteora. How I love thee. Okay, honestly, I like Hybrid Theory better overall, although some songs on Meteora (Breaking the Habit and Numb come to mind) blow anything that Hybrid Theory has outta the water. I still remember the day I got it. I was a Junior in high school, and I got it right after school and track practice. Before I even took a shower, I locked myself in my room, popped the CD into the player, and jammed while reading along with the lyrics.

To be honest, not very much compares to that thrill of listening to your favorite band's new CD for the first time. I felt the same way about Minutes to Midnight, and I feel the same way everytime a new Metal Gear Solid game comes out (I'm a huge MGS fan).

So happy anniversary, Meteora! And Minutes to Midnight, your anniversary is quickly approaching!
