He says it's an old promo cd before Hybrid Theory came but I'm not sure. He also said that they mainly went out to radio stations and the street team. He has a 100% positive history so that might be something but I don't know. APHELION WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?!?!

i guess you'll have to wait for SergSlim or Aphelion.

Looks pretty good and it's cheap, even if it was fake i'd buy it. But it's been sold already, no?

Those are real, they pop up on eBay a lot. It's basically just an advance release of HT with no artwork that was sent to radio stations and stuff, and I assume early street team members as well (I don't know anybody that was on the LPST that early on so I can't confirm that).

I think it's worth it, just because they don't go for inflated prices like some other pre-Hybrid Theory promo discs do. It's a pretty neat collection piece, I've been meaning to grab one myself, but being a college kid, my money tends to go to more important things...like feeding myself.

It probably is real, but, extremely cheap for such a great collectors item like the seller states. I'd milk that puppy for all it's worth if I had one and wanted to sell it. (If it's truly real and I had one I wouldn't sell it, but, you get what I mean, right? It's definitely worth a lot more than nine dollars.)

Few days ago another CD was sold, together with promo single.
30 seconds to the end price was 17$, I was even thinking to bid on it, than during last 30 seconds, it raised to 35$ in one bid, and than to 50$ in second bid..... Crazy bidders.....

Actually, the collector's value of these HT album advances seems to be going DOWN. They used to routinely list at like $30, but after a while people just stopped buying them, so like any wise seller would do, they started gradually selling them for less and less. Nowadays they're usually a bargain.

And for the 2nd time, it's real.

Yeah, a LOT of pre-Hybrid Theory promo stuff has that design, all black with white lettering. There's that cassette plus a With You/Points of Authority cassette with the same design, the 3-song EP (3 songs from Hybrid Theory), one of the One Step Closer radio promos, etc.
