I must say i really enjoyed the video. It's a very "dynamic" song and that was portrayed in the images and it's edition. I really like the distortion/interference kind of effects too.

About the Hippo... that, together with a rabbit, the horse and the jockey, etc... are taken from a very old animation book that studies movement in nature. Which makes sense if you consider how dynamic the song and the video are.... they must have googled in "movement" and those pics came as results, lol.

Typical how? I liked the other videos (that weren't Bleed It Out), but that was lame as hell.

I was just expecting someone to say it, no matter how awsome they make a music video someone will say it.

I seem to think differntly, I wasn't that keen on the shadow of the day video, it had little realtion to the song in hand and you need to do that in a slow song like that, theirs no real replacement.

I did't mind the bleed it out video, did't think it was that bad (but I wish chester kept his movements to himself and that the video was cut and a bit more racey).

They learned from their mistakes! This videos amazing, beautifully put together, their are a lot of live music videos by artists with just the live video, this one at least had some creativty in it!

The video "leaked" because the raw video file was posted on Warner's server hours ago in preparation for it to be streamed on the LPN widget:

It's really not even a "leak" since it comes from an official source. People just had to do a bit of searching to find it.

I'm just glad they actually made the effort to match up the footage with the audio. On Live in Texas, there's a bunch of shots where Brad is playing the wrong guitar in the wrong song or a shot that was already shown earlier in the DVD is replayed or Chester's shirt is totally soaked with sweat one second and dry the next, etc...but all the footage in this video pretty much matches up with the song (I think I spotted one spot in the bridge where it shows Brad playing the chorus riff, but that's the only continuity error I saw).

Slightly more creative than most live footage videos I've seen. I think they could maybe have included some crowd noise though, and more shots of the crowd/arenas. I like the quick chopped up footage though, and the additional clips of random stuff, including a hippo lol. I think the BTH footage is there cos it was screened during the song in the background at the gig (was at Manchester anyway). The choppy footage sort of "matches" the song. And I also like how it's not just straight on shots, like you can see black border-y bits. (God, I'm an artist, I should really know the technical terms lol).

I like it. Not a lot, but I do like it.

actually not even a second before they show the BTH footage not even like .1 of a second you can see a seen from papercut when its "the sun goes down" part of the song. I like the fast shots and images, its one of those videos to watch over and over to see all the little secrets :P

I think I like the video better than yesterday. Mostly because I suddenly realize how much it reminds me of those psychiatric tests where you are demanded to watch strange videos or images and afterwards, say what you remember/ what impresses you the most.
