Okay, did anybody notice that there was a new song that Mike played? For those who weren't there, Linkin Park played a song that had a heavy metal kind of guitar riff while Mike rapped really fast. They didn't say what it it was called and it was really short (about 45 sec-1 min). Has anybody here'd a song like this? I don't think it is a demo from 1999 or anything, but I think they had recently thought of it. I have a feeling that it will be on LPU 8, but i really don't know what they have in mind for that song. So post if you have an idea. Once I download the songs, I MIGHT put it on you tube or something, but I can only download it once, so if I upload it, I'm afraid it will get corrupted or something.

Um...okay? I'm not a computer whiz obviesly. I'll do whatever you just said, or I'll probably get my friend to do it (he was with me at the concert).

It was just the new outro to Points of Authority, which Mike raps There They Go (a Fort Minor song) over the top of.

But they didn't play Points of Authority that night. And also, the outro to Points doesn't have rapping in it (or if it does, I havn't here'd it).

I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. LP has played Points of Authority at every show on this tour, it's in all 3 setlists. And Mike has been rapping There They Go over the new ending to Points of Authority the last several shows. It's not in the original song, it's a NEW ending.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCLcJJBUrJw 3:54 into this, is that what you're talking about (except with rapping over it)?

They didn't play Points (and many others) this time because Chester was sick. When the download comes out, I'll tell you if it is the same. When they played it, I wasn't exactly paying attention to how the song sounded like, but I know FOR SURE that they didn't play points of authority (but they did play My December :D ).
And also I heard that Fort Minor song that is played over the outro. The one at the concert was much faster, but he was going so fast I couldn't really understand what he was saying.
a report from the LPU boards says LP didn't play 'No More Sorrow', 'Points Of Authority', or 'Pushing Me Away (Piano Version), but they did do 'My December (Piano Version).

It was just the new outro to Points of Authority, which Mike raps There They Go (a Fort Minor song) over the top of.speaking of that, mike pulled off a verse from "there they go" for the "points of authority" intro at montreal - and i'd really like to see how it was done, i can't imagine it at all. can anyone get a youTube clip? 'cause i couldn't find one ...

To my understanding, what happened was they didn't play Points of Authority, however they did the Points of Authority outro with There They Go over it right after Papercut at the Oklahoma show, which probably explains why it sounded like a different song. If you listen to it right after POA like it's supposed to be, you can tell it's just an extended ending added on to POA.

I think your right, but it wasn't right after Papercut. They paused after Papercut, and then Mike said something like, "Oklahma City, you might be the luckiest people in the world right now" then they played the song/outro/whatever it was.

I don't know, exactly, when it comes out, but the little card said it would be available within 10 days.

At first, from reading the first sentence I was thinking QWERTY, but then I read the rest of the description and all of this talk about Points and I'm quite unsure.
I'm sure you would have recognized QWERTY, so there goes my half-hearted guess.

Okay guys, my friend took a video of the concert, and it has the song. I was just barely able to hear the lyrics and I compared it to There They Go. It was match. You guys are right. Although that would be an awsome song if they used the guitar riff and added fast rap and vocals.
