These are the CDs I've bought in the past year (seeing as I don't buy much, I mainly borrow and burn):

Nas-Hip Hop Is Dead
Linkin Park-MTM
Smashing Pumpkins-Zeitgeist (Best Buy exclusive edition)
Silverstein-Arrivals & Departures
Foo Fighters-Echoes, Patience, Silence & Grace
Aerosmith-Gold Collection
Three Days Grace-One X
From Autumn To Ashes-Holding a Wolf by the Ears
Avenged Sevenfold-Self-Titled
30 Seconds to Mars-A Beautiful Lie
Papa Roach-The Paramour Sessions (UGH...why did I buy this again? **PUKES**)
Green Day-Dookie (my old one skips like a mothatrucka...so I replaced it)
Led Zeppelin-Mothership

Looking forward to buying:
Disturbed-Indestructible
Alkaline Trio-Agony and Irony
Metallica-Untitled if it ever comes out. From what I've heard they're going back to their roots on this one...I may overlook the catastrophe that was St. Anger and the whole Napster thing if there's some good music to be had.

Other than that, nothhhinn.

Cool, what's on there that's not on their self-titled release?

Wow, I never seen this message.

Umm, it's like a bunch of old demos and rehersals.
And bad quality too, sincwe they were recorded on small tapes.
But that's not to say it bad. It's the hook to it. It either bugs you or you love it. I like it, especially for the About A Girl, You Know You're Right, and Smells Like Teen Spirit demos. Well worth it, but only if you're big on Nirvana.

it definitaly isn't. i have yet to see MSI have their greatest album out. personally, the offspring's new album will be ten times better.

the fact that they took about 4 or 5 songs out from demos and live albums to put it on there, and the fact that most of the songs aren't good from beginning to end and just have particularly good chorus, it really makes it just a good album to listen. it is enjoyable, nothing more.

Well, I searched for it on three different times in a month in my vacations. Nothing. The only things they had in the store were Ghosts and Year Zero.
I found it in my hometown. The reason why am I so surprised is that in every other big town near us they don't even sell NIN CD's. The only thing that I had to do was walking in a little store in my hometown and found it there. meh...

Ha, in the store of my hometown they had just one copy of The Slip and one of Ghosts. I found and bought The Fragile during my class trip in Berlin (which is over 450 km away from my hometown). If by classical, you mean Mozart then no. I DO listen to "classic" modern music like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
As for every genre, no, I only really listen to every ROCK genre. The only non-rock artists I listen to are Johnny Cash, Mika and Daft Punk, really.

Yeah, metalcore and punk (all kinds, "normal" punk the least...although I plan on getting some Ramones and Buzzcocks) as well. The only rock genre that I can think of that I try to stay away from is glam rock, and even then I still like Bon Jovi and Alice Cooper. And black metal, grindcore and ska punk I don't like

MAINLY rock I said. I can like listening to music I hate, if you get what I mean (eg, Limp Bizkit, Good Charlotte). For me to REALLY enjoy music (well, recently it seems this way) it has to be challenging and original (eg, Radiohead, NIN, Biffy Clyro, Muse, etc)

Depends really. I don't LIMIT myself to rock, that just happens to be the majority. For example, I plan on buying some old skool rap (Run-DMC, Public Enemy) and just now decided to get the greatest hits of Fatboy Slim and Yoko Ono. If it's challenging but not to my taste, I'll respect it, the artists behind it and anyone who enjoys it. I just won't voluntarily listen to it. If it's not challenging, the artists behind it are untalented dicks, but I like the sound of it, I'll listen to it, probably as a guilty pleasure (Good Charlotte, Crazy Town, Limp Bizkit and Simple Plan predominantly fall into this category)

The fact that you do not respect other's musical taste shows you for being a nobhead.

What I find funny is you constantly pick out MY taste, of which I am quite proud of. You don't like it, tough shit.

how exactly?

MAINLY rock I said. I can like listening to music I hate, if you get what I mean (eg, Limp Bizkit, Good Charlotte). For me to REALLY enjoy music (well, recently it seems this way) it has to be challenging and original (eg, Radiohead, NIN, Biffy Clyro, Muse, etc)

those bands really aint challenging or origianl. in fact, you named one band that blatently rips of the other.

i supoose the new nin is challenging, but i wouldn't call them massively original.

anyways, the last album i bought, or got, was a promo copy of the new funeral for a friend album.

it's equally great and frustrating. it has some good songs, such as track 4 and the last track(cd doesn't have track names), but has alot of fillers. take the new single for instance, kicking and screaming. it has some really good, catchy guitar work that devlops into a fantastic bouncy riff in the verse, but then the chorus is instantly forgetable. funeral for a friend have a great history of writing amazing chrouses (into oblivion, juneuo, this years most open heartbreak) but the chorus on this song, and like so many others, are just so plain. if they could have combined the anthem ready made choruses of previous albums into the great guitar work of this then it could have been a classic. as it is, it's just good.

good to hear abit of the screaming back though.

You must admit that every album has it's own sound and specific features. This makes them original, in my opinion.
