I really think that this song should be the last release from Minutes To Midnight.
The words have great meaning and it would be the perfect exit to a near perfect Album.

Starting with 'What I've done' and to end with 'Leave Out All The Rest' wraps up one of Linkin Park finest works.

The Band, please, if you are spending a few minutes browsing the forums one evening, would you do this for the fans?

I agree that LOATR should be a single, but not the last XD. The Little Things Give You Away should be last.

this is actually really wierd. if you look on the track listing on a few albums of any band, group or singer... most of the albums singles are usually between tracks 1-6... not on greatest hits tho

I don't really care when this song becomes a single, but I strongly agree that this song should be released.... It's an amazing track.

Usually LP do that European release, like they did with Papercut and From the Inside. So far it's What I've Done, Bleed it Out, Shadow of the Day and Given Up just came out... I think LOATR would sound cute coming right after a song like GU, and it does on the album anyways so yeah... I think Little Thing Give You Away has a bigger voice though, and I think it deserves to be a single just a little bit more. That way, for those who still haven't bought the album yet, LOATR can be a bit of a surprise.

Given Up will sound awful on the radio cause they'll have to blur out the swears. That'll totally kill the effect of the song.

I've given up
I'm sick of feeling
Is there nothing you can say
Take this all away, I'm suffocating
Tell me what the _____ is wrong with me.

Ouch...

Hmmm...I honestly didn't give this track much thought until I heard them play it live last week. Now I can't stop listening to it.

I personally hope In Pieces will be the next LP single... but I'd be perfectly happy with LOATR, it's an excellent song.

In Pieces would no doubt be the best choice. But LOATR And No More Sorrow would make great singles too.

Whats not to like? It's very catchy and upbeat, yet soft. Chester's voice sounds great, and the lyrics are beautiful. Then, again, I can connect with it on a personal level, so that may add to my interpretation of LOATR. I can see why you wouldn't like it, but I also don't see why you wouldn't. But, hey, your opinion. :)

I won't be mad if it's a single, I'd just rather see In Pieces, perhaps No More Sorrow. Those songs would do more for LP in the long run in terms of the bands rep, and are both entirely different than any song they've done. In Pieces has great vocals, and a good guitar solo, and people who aren't avid fans of the band don't think the band can pull off a solo or even complex lyrics. Technically, WID and SOTD had guitar solos, and were nice, but just sorta blended in with the rest of the song. In Pieces is right in your face and actually pretty decent. Definitely would get the band "ups" in the eyes of critics.

No More Sorrow would be good because it's an entirely different sound for them altogether. It's heavier and angst-filled like their older stuff, but more mature. The ebo guitar, the riffs, and drum patterns are more complex than any song that falls under the "nu-metal LP" category. And the extensive intro is unheard of for a band like LP. I've seen people's reactions when they hear this track (same goes for when they hear me playing QWERTY). They're like, "THAT's Linkin Park?" Much as I love Given Up (and thank God it's a single), there's no denying it's simplicity. It actually sort of reminds me of a slightly more complex One Step Closer with profanity and a huge-ass scream. To me, it's the final chapter in the trilogy (OSC, Don't Stay, Given Up).

Yeah, LOATR would make a good single. but I really want NMS as the next single because I'm afraid It'll end up like Don't Stay. The song they would sometimes start out with and it will never be a single.
