Not what I was hoping for.

But it's not the good music I remember from Hybrid Theory and Meteora. I have every album from linkin park. I will not buy Minutes to midnight. LP was a unique band from the start. Now all I hear is the same stuff I hear on the radio every day. I'm not saying the music or the album is bad. I'm saying that Linkin Park isn't what it used to be. Some of you know Linkin Park merely by the new album. I strongley urge you to look into the older albums, to see what this band is truely capable of. High calaber, very good music. This is plain, simple, same old music.

Oh noes!!11 I bought it...how could I? You really should have stopped me back in May 07. Now...I've moved to the dark side...I LOVE Minutes to Midnight. So kill me.

I've been with them on and off since 2001. I know exactly how good their old music was. Very good, actually...and so is this. Personally, I haven't heard any songs like No More Sorrow or In Pieces on the radio lately, have you? What about The Little Things Give You Away or In Between?

2. You're nearly a year late.
3. LP changed their sound. GET OVER IT.

Well i don't know why are so many people posting this thread...almost an year after the release. Yes they changed and i was pissed about it. Just give the album some time, and YES, i prefer HT or Meteora to, but this albums is also good, Again, listen more to it.

Come on,you've got to be kidding!HT and Meteora were bigger than MTM.The reason they bought MTM probably was because they wanted to hear something different from the creator of HT and Meteora.

i agree with you.. i loved hybrid theory and meteora, and also their hybrid theory EP. i was not happy with the new album..a few songs are okay, but i miss their old sound. i hope the new album they make is somewhat like hybrid theory...

I disagree they still rock! their still unique just in a different style =P and why did you even post this? and why so late? there are tons of posts saying the exact same thing! and btw the album came out like almost a year ago! I think people have already either understood that lp has changed and moved onto another band or have gotten use to it and now love it :D

why it was so good! their new stuff isnt them...hybrid theory is what made them. and now their music is soft..and not as good haha. i guess it just hasnt grown on me. cos i'd rather hear the old stuff anyday

Well whatever music you like is all down to personal taste, of course.
LP themselves said that writing the HT style music was too easy for them. They wanted to challenge themselves by doing something different AND they didn't want to make Hybrid Theory3.

MTM is musically more complex and lyrically much stronger than their previous efforts. They succeded in what they set out to do.
Heavy music/Soft music = irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. If I like it then I like it.

yeah i love all their albums/ and theres a rumor about mtm being remix/ with busta rythm this time instead of jay-z/ the rumor stated more new style of new nu metal what ever dat mean and more heavier remix and more remix shadow of the day/ so ya look forward to it.

Don't bet on it. I haven't heard these rumors. If there was any bit of weight to them it would be all over the LPU, which it isn't.:)

I really don't think they'd do that anyway, they've already done a whole remix album and a mash-up EP. Been there, done that. Y'know.
The next things after LP do after they finnish touring MTM and the break, are Chesters album/tour, then probably a new album.
