I rated it 3 on my other topic, but its a nice and cool intro, to bad its to short(ok its an intro) but still it has a cool sound in the end. Also it takers a bit to get to the guitar part, but hey, time to wake.

I think it's ok, but I never really give to much thought into an albums intro, except for Reanimations. Wake is pretty cool, I just thought it was weird that when pre-release reviews came out, a lot of places where giving it really high marks. I had thought it was like a 3 minutes instrumental or something.

Absolutely loved it, the perfect intro for MTM, though it was not so long (which intros usually aren't), it was a nice beginning to the album, and I really like the way it kind of flows into Given Up. Alot of the album was like that, and I really thought it was cool. :cool:

yeah it's different for them but it's a good different it well done and it smooths over into given up so it's a nice balence

Reanimation's intro is one of the best intros i've ever heard. Makes you want to know what comes next but traps you in a way that you don't want it to finish. Wake and Foreword, in the other hand, don't say much. They're just intros...

Wake, i like it yeah, but i'd like it better if it had some connection to their new style, like an introduction to their new sound. Making it somewhat more meaningful.

Wake is a cool intro. I dont really give a damn at all about Foreward, i consider it as part of Don't Stay, but i still get why Foreward has to be it's own track :confused:

I would have loved Wake to be a little longer, I really would have....
I think that it would be really sweet if they could build onto Wake, and make a whole song out of it, that would be exciting to hear and to look forward to. It has such a great sound, but because it's so brief, it really is just a big bummer, to be so amazing and to be so short.
It is a powerful intro though, no doubt.

well i aciutally edited it to be longer, because its on my mp3 and it takes a bit to the rock part and them is only a few seconds, so i added some parts to it, 3 minutes, this because i dont want to press the < button everytime or only listen to it for 1:20 minutes

I don't know. That song sounds nothing alike to any other song of the album, it's just there to impress and then nothing happens. That's the idea i got when i first listened to MTM.

People would usually just skip listening to instrumentals when they're on the train/bus et cetera but i could pretty much listen to "Wake" any time and any where. And yeah the Reanimation intro's great as well, Phoenix does something different rather than just play bass and it fits perfectly with the album. Yay for instrumentals. And post-rock. Aand electronica.

wake is so cool! as 4 me it is not like the other songs like Session or something. and it sounds like a real wake! guess it's easier to open your eues when you hear wake=)

Wake was pretty awesome. I loved it, and I thought it was a good intro to LP's style, new and old. Foreward was a joke. Seriously, why even make it it's own track?
