A Review on QWERTY and a general NUANCE :D
After four year of waiting finally LP new album hits the ground. How it'll sound?
Let's get some fire!!
The first single on the album that I listen to is QWERTY. Radio station in my town played that song. What I notic ed and made me "wow" is the drum playing. I think that the song would kill me lol because it doesn't give a chance for us to even take a breath. The verse that being rapped, beat after beat and that sreaming blend nicely. The song gives a "move effect" to me.
Minutes to Midnight acts as the next step of metamorphosis of the band - think of a butterfly. The feeling is the same when I listened to Meteora, is this LP? From one album to the other the band gives a new and advanced nuance to their sound and lyric. For this MTM I think that the band is sharpening their rock side.
With this heavy rock, screams, and vibrant rap MTM has taken us to their another stage of metamorphosis.
If you guys saying "What about the MTM flop's?" Maybe I'll write it on different chapter :D
A little note for "The Little things Give You Away"
It's a bit boring for me because it's too long, on the other hand maybe this is one of many forms that shows the band maturity.
Thank you for reading.

what are you trying to say, what point are you trying to make? It sounds like an intro to a review or something, incomplete somehow.

Yeah somehow it's just incomplete coz it was. I just try to write it as a preface in my sparetime.
Thank you anyway for the comment.

The Little Things Give You Away might be a long song for the band, but I'm used to listening songs that are long.

And other bands such as Rush, Opeth, Dream Theater, and so forth. As much as I like Linkin Park, it just feels weird that I can listen to the entire album in less than 40 minutes.

godspeed you black emperor still beats all of those... essentially, they do a song per album, sometimes you get a dual album just because there are 2 songs. I love that band. Opeth and Dream are also great.

Wow, really?
I haven't heard them =S
I don't like long songs much, 2-7 minutes is the sweet spot.
Like Tool was hard for me to like at first, since most of their songs are 5-14 minutes

hehe, i exaggerated actually... but still, each cd has like 2 songs in it, around 20 mins each... and divided into smaller songs just to make it "user friendly" Their songs are like books with different chapters... they're truly unique and you should try listening to them.

i love long songs, they have more time to elaborate the ideas. Like for example, having bleed it out for 10 minutes is just annoying. Burzum, another amazing band with long songs.

I know, but since you already named Godspeed, what's the use of repeating it? :p Either way, 2112 is like half the length of Hybrid Theory and Meteora.

Yeah, there's more room for creative ideas to be said, but they just get repetitive a bit I guess.
It's just me, I get bored easily

just to make it clear hehe, there's another band called "Godspeed" and i don't want to get things mixed up.

you won't get bored, that's why they're so good and respected.

Sorry about that. :D Either way, it would be interesting to see Linkin Park make some more longer songs.

they'd have to REALLY evolve their sound in order to do that. With their new style it'd be very boring listening to one of their songs for 15 minutes or so.

Maybe, but I'm sure it would work if they combined both the sound of Minutes to Midnight and HT/Meteora without sounding outdated at the same time.
True. I usually like songs atleast 2-7 minutes. Saves more time for me to listen other songs. But there are some great long songs like Master of Puppets.

Well it can be great, but I gave music A.D.D sometimes =/
Like I can listen to an AMAZING 10 minute song, but then I feel like switching it up.
Nevertheless, I'll try them

Yeah...as u said cali castaway, I don't like the so called "long song". Mike once said that the band like their song to be staight to the point and not run so (too) long. So I guess that this is a matter of "maturity" of the band.

You just asked what wookie just said. I wrote it in my sparetime, it has not finished yet. And about "the little things give you away" it was just "a little note".
Thanks for the comment anyway.
