i picked this up years ago, and haven't seen another one anywhere (stores, ebay, anywhere)

http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b215/xheartyourlifex/scan.jpg

it has two tracks:

1) a place for my head (esaul)
2) by myself

says "for promotional use only not for sale, 1999" on the disc.

there is no liner book, the hybrid theory logo is actually a sticker.

i would think it was released to promote the hybrid theory album, but nowhere on it does it say anything about "linkin park"...i heard they used to go by the band name hybrid theory before getting signed, so...

anyone know more about this?

it is basically brand new. i never played it. it doesn't have any scratches on either side. the sticker has a slight impression from one of the tabs that holds it in place, but that's it...

if anyone is interested in it, i'll listen to offers...

These 2-track demos routinely fetch upwards of $200 from LP collectors on eBay. They're one of the few LP-related items that often sell for more than the Hybrid Theory EP.

But i doubt chester looks so scared in every Linkin Park concert.

Try just renaming the file from .vob to .mpg, that actually works a lot of the time.

I think it maybe Mason Jar like Astat said, as it is the first LP video taped show ever that we got . If that's it, then I have it already, but thank you anyway, Wookie. You're the best :p

Ah, there're some pics on pushmeaway, you can compare and tell me if it's Mason Jar or not, kay?

Mason Jar was REALLY rare until maybe a year and a half ago (rare to the point that you could probably count the number of people who had it on one hand), I think it was Hahninator or Nkramar who released it to the public.

Actually, Mason Jar was really rare (like Astat said, he knows everything, gah) but then, every rare media will pop up every now and then. The same thing happened to some BoW tracks. I remember how crazy it was to find those Club Tattoo tracks and how excited I was when I got Wonderwall audio bootleg with blackxero tag on it. Now we got Anything, Anything video bootlegs from both 05 and 06 up in public and some other stuff as well.

Well, for those things, I think we gotta thank Astat, Hahninator and Nick big time for all the contribution you guys give to the community. *bows down*

Wook, what the heck is the GD link? I will be online now so you'd better sign in too, biatch :p

WookieBastard

for what i know, it was Nkramar the one who uploaded the show. And yeah, it's a pity when rare stuff becomes common.... i remember when i started collecting LP stuff in the HT days, i got so excited when i got a new demo, now they're everywhere...

And NoFace im at "work", can't install MSN there. I was talking about the Grey Daze video, i'm rippin it.

I actually had no involvement in the Bucket of Weenies stuff that's been released so far, and there's still a lot of effort being made to get the full shows (at least Club Tattoo '06) released to the public.

Grey Daze video, eh? I'm assuming you mean this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOyqawjtCF8), it's the only known Grey Daze live video.

Wookie gets all confused from watching too much StarWars instead of focusing on the LP field LOL. The one I gave you is Anything, Anything/BoW/Club Tattoo 05. I'm online now btw.

Well, AndOne works on LPlive, and he's had Devon's tapes (Club Tattoo '06, Etnies '05, and an incomplete Club Tattoo '05) for a long time, so that's where the sample came from (there's also a clip of Club Tattoo '06 in the LPlive.net trailer video).

I've never seen that before but my guess is that it was after
they came out with Hybrid Theory EP cause they didn't have the
name for a place for my head until later and By Myself was not
used and instead was called Super Xero (according to some guy
on Youtube but that was the band's name before Hybrid Theory
EP and before Chester had joind). This is just my guess and so
I could very well be wrong.

I don't know how the heck Radq has that but he uploaded it on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PUDZ8SFji8) (what a surprise). I know [andone] works for LPlive, and I thought that he finally gives out the tape(at least to some top trader friends). No?

Btw, Radq also uploaded the Tom Green show, which I have been searching for a while, but it's not full. Any one has the full Tom Green show (LP smashing Tom Green's van) with the interview part?

Super Xero was never the name of the band, ever. I dunno who started that rumor, but it's completely false. It went Xero (1996-1998) > Hybrid Theory (1998-summer 2000) > Linkin Park (summer 2000-present).

I'm pretty sure the only reason the demo of By Myself was called "Super Xero" was as a little homage to their former band name, similar to how they kept "Hybrid Theory" for the name of their first album.

yeah, i do appreciate their work. Considering i'm from uruguay, it'd be impossible for me to get their unreleased stuff if it wasn't for those people... and internet.

Location matters very little these days - I know collectors all over the world.

It's rumored that LP downloaded an mp3 of RME to help remind them how to play it... No 100% confirmation on that that I remember though. Might be a good question to ask Mike in the LPU chat.

Quite true. And every day I'm more and more amazed at the number of Linkin Park fans from all sorts of little corners of the world. It's so ... amazing. I just love how music unties all of us, you know? I've met some very interesting people from places I'd have never thought I'd ever talk to anyone from. People like me who are just a little beyond obsessed :D

Except for all of the fighting, flaming, trolling, complaining, whining, arguing and yelling, LP fans are one big happy family!

Guess so...

Though LP fans really know how to rock.

And music really does connect people...

Location matters very little these days - I know collectors all over the world.

It's rumored that LP downloaded an mp3 of RME to help remind them how to play it... No 100% confirmation on that that I remember though. Might be a good question to ask Mike in the LPU chat.

well, i'm a collector. but i know i still don't have everything there's to have. I collect mp3s though. Can't afford to buy every single etc etc there is out there.

And yeah, it was a rumor that about RME. My mistake to present that as a fact.

I've seen a handful of them over the years, and they always go for pretty hefty prices.

There aren't too many defining qualities on it, it's just a generic clear slim jewel case, the cover is also a sticker. Fortunately the CD artwork is pretty intricate and hard to duplicate, and furthermore I've never seen a fake one of these. *knocks on wood*

Well if u guys see one on ebay, can u please tell me? And also, if it really comes on ebay, does that mean that there were more than just 100 copies made and can go on ebay any time now?

I don't think there's an available number of how many were actually made, but it was surely more than 100. They handed them out at their early shows, and I know of one person who has about 6 of them.

If it's the person I'm thinking of, that's a slight exaggeration - The person I'm thinking of has 2/3 of them last I knew.

Is there any chance that this person is looking for more friends?

I actually stand corrected on that, they only have 2 of the actual CDs, but they have an additional 4 of the stickers that served as the CD covers.

Actually, it's the very first version of Halo when it was going to be a third person shooter. As a matter of fact, this is the very first screen shot of Halo from 1999. They even had a commercial of this version. Take a look at this:

and this:

I'm hoping, when I get all the programs, that I'll be able to make a map for Halo Custom Edition based on the 1999 Halo.

3Dimensions = height, length, width. The fourth dimension is Time. So there's no 3.5D. 4D games would be like some kind of virtual reality, if Matrix was a game for example... also if you've seen movies like Avalon or Existenz. 4D would be some kind of virtual reality.

I don't know about time. I always thought that the fourth dimension was feel (like the Matrix). So if you die in the game = XP in real life or something.

Well, someone better tell the dudes at seaworld that the "4D" movie of Ghost Island is a lie. :( They gave us 3D glasses and, to add the "4D effect", they put small water shooters on the back and sides of the chair, an air gun under the chair, and a vibrater to similate electricity.
