well, i'll have to agree... however, i can think of lots of worst albums released this year. This year was a very bad year for music.

*nods* They always pick on LP. Maybe Mike kicked some major ass in Kerrang and now they're taking their revenge, yea?

MTM has gotten more bad reviews than good reviews and it deserves some of the criticism it gets, but it seems lots of critics have it in for the band. So many of the negative reviews are over the top.

I hope the band responds to this sort of criticism like other bands do and release a new fuckin awesome album in less than 2 years. Early, 2009 LP, get it done.

its kerrang, ignore it, ever since I was introduced to kerrang I hated it, always have done, always will do.

I think its because LP doesn't have a set image like most of the emo bands out there today, that they don't like them. Also with LP straying away from the slightly heavier stuff and trying differnt sorts of genres then they did alredey, its convusing readers even more to try and create an image from LP.

kerrang is all about the image of a band.

3rd Worst? I have them the 3rd best. I saw Paramore and Angels and Airwaves at the KROQ concert along with LP and they were ok.

Where's High School Musical 2 or Hannah Montana? Those albums suck imo. I can't stand Fall Out Boy so I can see why they made the list. Most rap albums are god awful this year

Hannah Montana is just a kid (at least in my opinion), lol. HSM and Hannah Montana are just... too Disney Channel to be mentioned and compared here haha.

And Rap Albums this year are not bad, the problem is where you look at, and do you like Rap at all?

Well, in my point, Rap records really went down this year. I support hip hop like Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Chamillionaire (Examples of good artist that released albums this year). The bad is like Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, T.I, Jay Z (was better off retired), 50 Cent and those silly RnB artist like T-Pain.

It's just your opinion. Jay Z and American Gangster made huge success this year. T.I is cool. Soulja Boy is cool too.

I always thought that some fans don't like M2M but critics do and I was sure that that's why LP became not so "underground" as they were. I mean when we like album the critics don't and when we don't the critics do. I totaly desagree that MTM is the worthst album!!!

To be fair, some of the critics liked Hybrid Theory, Reanimation, and Meteora.

Rolling Stone did like Minutes To Midnight, but did not really like Hybrid Theory or Meteora, although they praised Breaking The Habit.

It just that Linkin Park did not have a complex riff instrumentally, and so they just think that they are not skilled. But to be honest when people look at it, Linkin Parka ctually have quite a genius arrangement of instrument, and when it all harmonise together it sounds great, despite being simp-le on it's own.

kerrang is all about the image of a band.

I agree i hate all those f***ing emo bands they play on kerrang all the time especially mcr, elliot minor etc. They need to start playing more proper music and less f***ing paramore - its a ROCK station!!!!!

man f**k Kerrang, and like sizedude said, they're all about image. thank god i never even read kerrang. they should be more concerned about the artist, or band's music, not their images. it just makes them look like shallow crooks.

Apparently, Frank Zappa once said, "Rock journalism is people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for people who can't read." If you don't understand that-stop buying Kerrang! :p

In the days of Hybrid Theory Kerrang seemed to love LP. But because they have changed so much musically, they don't really fit in with Kerrang's image so much I reckon. The only reason they print things about them (good or bad) is so that people will buy it! Who cares if MTM got a bad review; it's not stopped me listening to it night after night for the past two weeks!

*...is now wondering why on earth she clicked "quick reply"...*

Rolli Stone are crap! When Nevermind came out they gave it 3/5

And people seem to forget this wasn't Kerrang! that put MiM there, it was the readers who voted
And AVA should have been no.1, followed by HelloGoodbye who AREN'T ROCK SO WTF ARE THEY IN KERRANG

I personally love Fightstar's latest offering aswell as MTM. I wouldn't put them anywhere near worst. bit of a piss take to be honest.
