Yes, they are the same tracks, but the EP came first (and it is rare to find an original version, try ebay). So many people wanted it after HT that they re-released it for the launch of LPU.

well, there is an album in between HT EP and the HT LP. It was released when they were still named Hybrid Theory, i actually dont know its name (if it does have one). The thing is, that this album has the demos of HT LP the one released on 2001, it had 9 songs, and for what i know, there where only 1000... it's impossible to get, but that's where most part of the demos you can find come from. There are some songs that have VERY little changes compared to the HT LP 2001, the thing is that the one that mixed the album was another guy, so it may sound different, but you can hardly notice it.
Also you should take into account the fact that there was a Xero sampler tape, impossible to get obviously. But still, the mp3s are a nice addition to the collection.
There are more songs than those on the Hybrid Theory Sampler and the Xero Sampler. The thing is that while calling themselves Hybrid Theory, they uploaded songs to their web page where you could download them for free... so they don't belong to any particular album.
Thats all.
