There are interviews and articles (It was a month or so ago. I can't remember any off the top of my head) where the band has said that they've got so much material to work with for their live shows so it might be years before Linkin Park drops another album.

how cares what critics say? all that matter is if you enjoyed it or not... if im not mistaken, you did. so that's enough. But yeah, Reanimation meant a lot more innovation and reinvention to their sound than MTM. By far their best album, truly unique.

Well a lot of people we're a little dissapointed with Meteora and
MTM. This a fact by the number of posts on youtube (countless). I
Like all of them. I'm just saying that a lot of people were dissapointed.

It's not just youtube, it's all over the world. I'm using examples to explain, so it's not just the critic or youtube.
But your right, they do have a long time to make different
albums.

I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT! for many reasons. 1# it only came out like 6 months ago! 2# they're doing alot of touring they won't have time to come out with another album. 3# Dead By Sunrise is suppost to come out this year... as much as I would love for another to come out this year, if they rushed an album release then it wouldn't be as good, quality over quanity.

I quite like the sound on MTM compared to the previous two albums, actually. It's not all Chester either, because Mike sings on In Between, and is also lead vocalist on Hands Held High/Bleed It Out. Let's not forget either that he has a little singing bit on The Little Things Give You Away.

It's different to Meteora/Hybrid Theory, but at the same time it's a good move to make because their old stuff wouldn't have worked as well as they did in this day and age.

I think most people can agree that they loved either Hybrid or Meteora's style -- it was, after all, what grabbed most of our attention spans. Ever since then, all the hardcore Linkin-Heads have just waited eagerly for the next project, and for those who listened to Hybrid on repeat 18 times a day would probably be dissappointed in Minutes because it's nowhere near the same. What is hard to accept, I think, for most people is that Linkin Park changed along with the world, and they embraced this change, and we may not ever get a new album in original Hybrid style, as much as it rocked. They're expanding their horizons, and it's not a bad idea to expand ours, either. At least they're doing it properly and everything is well thought out and good music.

I don't know if I should wish that the next album is comming as fast as possible or if I would prefer waiting two years and then it's better than Minutes To Midnight... but 2008 sounds very good - next tour I'm comming!! =D

i definitely think middle of 2009 they'll release the next album. chester has already said in an interview that now they know what direction and style they want to have in their music they'll get the next album out much quicker than MTM! And he's also said that in between touring this year they'l take trips home to write...so i would say end of the year beginning of next year they'd be going into the studio to record...........I hope so anyway! lol
