i know it sounds like madness but i'm a hardcore lp fan and was wondering if anybody could list out each and every song that they've made.. including collaborations and the xero era, chester's grey daze, phoenix's tasty snax... u get what i mean...
i've been trying to get a listen to all of linkin park songs so i need help from you guys for this big list so that it'll be much easier for me to differentiate between the real songs and the fake/fanmade songs..
any kind soul out there can gimme a hand... would be very much appreciated... :o

Those songs are just those that can be obtained by every mortal with enough commitment to look for them. Of course, there are A LOT of songs that are virtually impossible to find or just a few have and won't share them. As always, i'm sure Aphelion will have even more stuff to add.

I had such a crazy idea of creating a list of all songs they made on LPA forums.. or it was actually a list of all albums, singles etc + non-album songs... But I never finished it lol.

Morei Sky (audition recording)*
* I read they were bonus tracks of one of their albums, I personally never confirmed that info.
There's Morei Sky (audition recording) as a bonus track for Wake Me album, and also The Down Syndrome (acoustic demo) if it can be called like that as a bonus track for ...No Sun Today album. The rest are fakes. They are just a songs that are on both Wake and ...No Sun Today albums and which differ in sounding, but they are not acoustic demos. It's Linkin-Inside where I saw them first. So you may thank them for making this misunderstanding.

Yeah, those are remastered tracks from the No Sun Today album, Sean Dowdell (the Grey Daze drummer) did a lot of work on remastering the entire album. LPA was going to host the entire album, but they only got the first 10 tracks. Sean's hoping to release the remaster on CD sometime next year, if he can get all the legal work done for it.

Hey Wookie where did you get all these songs from?
Did you buy them in CDs or did you download them?
I've never seen a numb/encore single in the stores (I'm guessing due to my region) and how about those demos and live ones...they're really hard to find (at least to me) and demos aren't sold in stores right?
Can you point me in the direction of those stuff :)
Thanks in advance.
Oh and I'm new here...so Hi everyone!

i live in uruguay, the "rarest" LP thing i've seen was Meteora's vinyl for 10 usd... i've only got their albums (HT, Reanimation, Meteora, Lit) original. The other stuff, is just downloaded.
www.lpfuse.co.uk, linkin-inside.com (they had a lot of audio stuff in there, but now it's only bootlegs and videos)... lpassociation.com for the grey daze remastered tracks and A LOT of useful info... fortminor.co.uk n stuff like that... give them a try. Also, trading is a big part of getting those tracks. Now its very very easy, but back then when i started, it was a pain in the ass, but it was worth it.
One last thing... lookin for torrents, there are some that have nice collections inside. They're a nice way to start a collection this days.
edit: send me a PM, and i'll send u some stuff that would help you start. Direct download links.

Awesome job, SergSlim!
"It's us" featuring Mike? I think there were only Hard (produce), Hey You and Second 2 None that got the touch of Mike?
Plus, were Marco Polo (2000 Fold- SOB) and You can not fuck with this (Razor Tag) produced by Mike?

You can not fuck with this (Razor Tag) is produced by Mike alright. But i have no idea about "Marco Polo"

Nope, I can't see Mike's name beside 'You can not fuck with this' in the tracklist. Marco Polo is in 2000 Fold - SOB's debut album ( and then the re-released). It was mostly a rumor on wikipedia, so I wanna sort that out.

You mean he raps? Nope, I listen to it again and again and it's not Mike. It's Tak and Ryu, for sure. Mike can not go that flowingly (no disrespect, he's my fav. man but we gotta admit that he's not the hottest rapper out there). Unless you're talking about another "It's us" here. The "It's us"/Razor Tag has no Mike Shinoda, I think.

yeah, i mean rap... come on
honestly... in my opinion, Mike's rapping never sounded as good as it does in Razor Tag... I might be wrong, but in "It's Us" i'm very sure it's Mike rapping there... i'll check with one of SOBcentral's moderators... he sure knows.

Pictureboard, The Team either do not exist or have never been recorded both live and studio. So you don't have any chance to hear them. Maybe I'm wrong and someone from the band has them (if they are real) but that's hard to tell.
Ground Xero - is the song with Mark Wakefield, you're right. None of LP members is in it.
Papercut demo is just a rumor.. Nobody has it too.... Sorry.

The Team is supposed to be a song in the infamous Xero bootleg tape from 1997, and is a very early version of Crawling. It’s rumored that this tape has been sold on Ebay a long time ago (sounds fairy tale much?) but no one has ever got a hold of this nor seen any trace of it on Ebay so it mostly never existed like SergSlim said.
Pictureboard is actually a Xero song mentioned by Mike in an LPU chat. But well nobody has it so it's impossible to get it online, unless you rob Mike Shinoda's house and steal it. :D
Never heard of Ground Xero and Papercut demo.
Impossible. I do have a Papercut recording with Mike rapping like shit.
LOL (has he ever rapped better than that? kidding). Are you sure that’s it a studio demo but not an early live audio when Mike still sounded really young? Example: Orlando 16/08/00 live audio quality is really good and you may mistake it with a demo?
well then, i must be mistaken.
"It's us, the one and only blah blah"... who's that?
That part is Ryu’s, for sure.

"The Team" is in no tape that i know of. And it's not supposed to be Crawling demo... it should be Carousel demo. And for what i know, "The Team" is one of the songs played in the supposed LA Whiskey thing... The Team, Explode and Rhinestone pt.2 were supposedly played at that show.
Pictureboard is actually a Xero song mentioned by Mike in an LPU chat. But well nobody has it so it's impossible to get it online, unless you rob Mike Shinoda's house and steal it. :D
They played it live once while being Linkin Park, Mike said so. Unfortunately, the LP bootlegers weren't hunting on those days.

Studio recording, 100% sure.
That part is Ryu’s, for sure.
Well then, kick Mike out of linkin park, Ryu is awesome and does sound a LOT like Mike then.... people won't even tell Mike's not there O.o
no, seriously, are u sure it's Ryu? that voice shows up in It's Us and the other tracks in which Mike is featured... and he also goes with that thing of "remember the name" n stuff, that, together with the similarity of the voices made me think it was Mike...

Sorry for double posting...
Probably the biggest difference in between the HT LP Papercut version and the other recording I've got, besides how does Mike's rapping sounds; is that:
In HT LP:
It's Like I'm Paranoid looking over my back
it's like a, whirlwind inside of my head
it's like i, can't stop what i'm hearing within
it's like the face inside is right beneath my skin
All that is primarily sang by Chester and Mike doing some backup vocals... then in the background, "the sun goes down, i feel the light betray me" is also sang by Chester.
Whereas in the other recording, the part that goes with "It's Like I'm Paranoid looking over my back...." is Mike alone, and Chester in the back with "the sun goes down..."

well.. I don´t know if even LP knows/remembers all this.. I mean they´re pretty much focused on the new stuff..
and sure, I´d love to hear the whole songs at least once..I heared the Grey Daze (well, actually Sean Dowdell And His Friends?) demo´s on youtube, but only have Kill The Flies.

I believe that we maybe talking about the same thing .There were, rumored, like, two 97 shows : Lynus Brook and Whiskey thing (Whiskey Club LA or some The Whiskey?)but I'm really confused and wonder if there's only one show only or maybe two shows? (so we may talk about the same show or two). However, they have the same setlist, I think -_-
Xero - 10-08-97: Lynus Brook Club, L.A. Setlist:
01-Rhinestone
02-The Team
03-Reading My Eyes
04-Untitled
05-Explode
06-Rhinestone (part two)
07-Now I See
08-Fuse
sold on ebay.com for $2000
--> that's the supposed setlist of both two shows. And from what I heard, it's demo of Crawling or Part of me (LOL, so confused)
But then, this is very complicatedt. Is one of those two shows the first show they ever did that Jeff Blue came to see and actually ended up get the band signed? I dunno. Someone claimed they were at the Whiskey show but there's no bootleg. And then Xero opened for Cypress Hill and SOAD so maybe there were more than two shows taped? Eh? *dies*
They played it live once while being Linkin Park, Mike said so. Unfortunately, the LP bootlegers weren't hunting on those days.
They played it once after they changed their name, yes,but it is a Xero song, not a Linkin Park song
Studio recording, 100% sure.
Ekk, that I don't know of. Ask someone with more LP knowledge than me.
No, we can't kick Mike out, ha. He just an average rapper but he's a great musician. Linkin Park is no Wu-Tang Clan, we don't need a super cool rapper. Just be fair, he's not extremely good at rapping but he creates great music and he keeps this band going on. That's... a lot.
And uhm, their voice can be a lil bit alike, but their style is different. Just listen carefully, I swear it's Ryu. He goes more flowingly and... I can't explain, but it's like he got a 'rhythm' that Mike's rapping doesn't have.
I still think it's Ryu. *goes listen to it again --> this song will drive me crazy* Yes, he may sound somehow like Mike but it's him. Damn, someone who knows SOB personally should ask Ryu this.

well.. I don´t know if even LP knows/remembers all this.. I mean they´re pretty much focused on the new stuff..

Eh? *dies*
I think you're getting all mixed up. For what i know, Explode Part Of Me demo and The Team is Carousel. And about that bootleg... i never heard there was a bootleg, actually LOTS of people say that show never happened, or at least not with that setlist. But the show is real, i've got the flyer... however that doesn't prove the setlist was the one we know about.
I'm sure the LP guys must have video taped it... it was an important show to them...
But when i was talking about bootlegs i was refering to the show in which they played Pictureboard... that yeah, it was a Xero song alright.
Ekk, that I don't know of. Ask someone with more LP knowledge than me.
I'm absolutely sure it's legit. I've just listened to it again... and well, in that recording I'm talking about, Chester barely shows up... the only thing he does is: "BENEATH MY SKIN!" and the part of "The sun goes down"... Mike's in charge of practically the complete song... and doing a very bad job.
No, we can't kick Mike out, ha. He just an average rapper but he's a great musician. Linkin Park is no Wu-Tang Clan, we don't need a super cool rapper. Just be fair, he's not extremely good at rapping but he creates great music and he keeps this band going on. That's... a lot.
Yeah i know, Mike is a BIG part of the Linkin Park Sound.... so, no, he could never be replaced.
And uhm, their voice can be a lil bit alike, but their style is different. Just listen carefully, I swear it's Ryu. He goes more flowingly and... I can't explain, but it's like he got a 'rhythm' that Mike's rapping doesn't have.

Well yeah, i can feel de difference in their styles but they sound so much alike that i just thought Mike had being practicing and developing his skills... and that'd be a nice surprise. But well, it seems its not him after all then. I've heard to the album from start to end, and again, those vocals only show up when Mike is featured on the song... i'll ask Jay from SOBCentral, see if he can enlighten us... The SOB guys give them material to post every now and then, so perhaps we can get official info.

As I thought it sounds almost the same as Papercut (live at BBC) from Crawling single. Maybe single version is quite better. Just compare them both. Compare the part you're talking about, what you think is different between that "demo" and album.

Disturbed and Chester really did sing together.
According to lplive.net:
Mike and Chester came out on Head Up during the Deftones' set, but I don't think either of them had microphones, they just ran out on stage. This is documented during the whole "The Chemist" section of Frat Party.

Ahh, wow that was an old post. That My}Dsmbr demo I had turned out to be a fake. It was supposedly an early version of the one that made Reanimation but it was just a pretty roughly done fan creation. I think they EQ'd it in such a way that they managed to remove some of the cymbal sounds...? I really don't remember because I deleted the file a long time ago.
Also, I've never found a real version of Plaster, and I doubt one exists. One of the fakes was a version of the HT OSC recorded through a microphone and pitch-shifted down half a step, another was just OSC with some random beeping noises added during the pre-chorus, and another was the version of One Step Closer from the ECW Anarchy Rocks soundtrack (which has significantly different mixing), labeled wrongly as Plaster.

nice. Aphelion, one other thing, i posted this on the "Looking For..." thread... no one ever replied and the thread eventually died.
about instrumentals... a LONG while ago, i took this from some LP related forum...
...Breaking the Habit - 0:26 instrumental with vioilins, then 2:00 full instrumental, after that it was the LP demo called "Drawing" then the 3:16 street team demo, then album version....
Then, on another post on another forum:
...Also the BTH 0:26 violin, 2:00 instrumental and street team demo are available...
do u now anything about those? Is the 0:26 BTH thing ripped from the Meteora LPTVs? and the 2:00 instrumental.. i don't think they're talking about the looped instrumental thing that's around the internet these days...
EDIT:

nice. Aphelion, one other thing, i posted this on the "Looking For..." thread... no one ever replied and the thread eventually died.
EDIT:
What happened with the collab Mike supposedly did on Chali2na's "Fish Outta Water"?
If I recall correctly, Chali 2na's Fish Outta Water album never came out, however his Fish Market mixtape did, and that had 4 GT 10 on it (same thing as Frgt/10 from Reanimation, but with an alternate ending).
As for the BTH stuff: The 0:26 instrumental part came from an LPTV episode, where it showed them recording the strings for that song (it had some slightly different sounding strings from the final version). There is no 2:00 instrumental clip, there's a 1:20 instrumental clip from the BTH DVD main menu, which somebody looped the 2nd half of to create a "2nd verse" out of it, but it's really poorly done because the 2nd verse of BTH has different string parts than the first verse anyway. The demo of BTH was called "Drawing," but there's no recording of it, and the Street Team version is just the single edit of the song, where there's a short synth fade-in before the explosion, rather than the explosion starting the song like it does on the album. It's not a demo at all.

Yeah. The only reason it's called the "Street Team" version in the first place is because the LPST Breaking the Habit CD/DVD promos were sent out before the single was actually released, so the CD of that was the first thing that version of the song ever appeared on.

now, Fort Minor (The Rising Tied) 1:00 Demo/Promo of Site Intro and the Walking Dead remix and i can die happy.
Here's the 4 clips from the old FM website, which are what you're looking for: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=09VMJ6OI
Remember the Name (Demo) (Intro Loop).mp3 - This is a short clip of the Remember the Name intro (with different effects) that looped on fortminor.com when the website was nothing more than a background graphic with no information whatsoever. I recorded this myself and just let it loop a couple times, then let it fade out.
Remember the Name (Demo) Clip 1.mp3 and Remember the Name (Demo) Clip 2.mp3 - Once the FM site was updated to its "beta" phase, these 2 clips played in the player. The first clip is the intro, and then the 2nd clip would loop repeatedly. These 2 clips are the direct mp3 files from the website's source code, so yes, they're really at that low of a bitrate.
Introduction (Demo).mp3 - Same as above, this was another clip you could play on the beta FM website that would loop over and over, and again it's ripped straight from the source code. This is the synth part in the background of Introduction on The Rising Tied, without all the talking and other sound effects over it.
The "Fort Minor (The Rising Tied) 1:00 Demo/Promo of Site Intro" thing you're referring to is one of the above clips (I don't remember which one) that somebody looped a couple times themselves and cut it to exactly 1:00 in length. With the exception of the first clip, these files are direct mp3s from the website itself so you can loop them on your own if you wish.
I haven't heard about a Walking Dead remix...I have the demo though.
Here's a little bit of trivia: My friend Neil and I were actually the first 2 people in the LP community to discover the Fort Minor website. Mike did an interview on Fuse in like April of '05, and the Fuse website promoted it as "Mike talks about his side project, Fort Minor." That was the first time his solo project had been referred to by an actual name. I found that on the Fuse website, told Neil about it, he randomly tried going to www.fortminor.com to see what would happen, and bam.
*Edit* Here's the thread about it when it happened: http://www.lpassociation.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16385 Ahh, memories. I'm Dr. Octagonapus by the way, I randomly felt like a name change a few days ago. :p

I have no idea what "Fort Minor (The Rising Tied) 1:00 Demo/Promo of Site Intro" is. I just saw it in a Hahninator's list. But I guess it's one of the intros you provided with the loop played at least a couple of times.
And about the Walking Dead remix... i got mixed up. I meant the Freestyle remix, which was discussed over on the "Looking for..." thread.
Sergslim posted a list of Linkin Park tracks, and the Freestyle remix came up, he asked Hahninator what was the track about and this is what Sergslim quoted:
Freestyle was released by DJ Vice and crewdy obtained it for Forfeit the Game. that's what we consider the album version. my friend Eric from Los Angeles went to a Vice show and got an 'underground cd' which was a Vice mixtape and he ripped me tracks like 13-15 and 14 was Freestlye, but it was all remixed. for a while I argued everyone and called this the album version since it really came from a CD, but it's a remix. I posted it on some sites, it's out there...it's not there. also there's the Freestyle demo from Vice's MySpace
The other day I was watching the Making of TRT dvd and there are a "Slip Out The Back" and "Cigarettes" strings + choir acapellas. If anyone (reads this section of the forums and) wants it... i'll upload.

Aphelion, i've read one of your posts in the LPA forums about an early version of Lupe's "The Instrumental"... could u please upload that?
And please state the differences between one another, because i have downloaded long ago track labeled "Never Lies", to which you refer as the early version.. however, u stated it was an LPA exclusive, and I have absolutely no idea where did i take that and it just sounds exactly the same to the album version.
Sergslim, what about you, do u have that one?
please someone upload.
And sergslim, i've been trying to upload all night the FM things but all my uploads get stuck at 47%... i'll try later.

I can't tell the difference between 'The Instrumental' and 'Never lies', and maybe there's no difference at all. 'The Instrumental' is the official name of 'Never Lies' after Food and Liquor is released around Sep 06. The whole album, indeed, has been leaked like, months ago, and in the leaked version, it was 'Never Lies', I think so.
Some songs names have been changed like 'Never Lies', like, No Place To Go -> Hurt Me Soul, Close your mind -> American Terrorist.

"never lies" is no different from the final version of "the instrumental" that appears on the album. it was just called that, i believe, at the time it was leaked.

If i'm not mistaken "Dr. Octagonapus" is Aphelion under another username, i quote what he said in the LPA forums.
The demo title of the song was "Never Lies," and when it was posted as an LPA exclusive download a while back, it was originally thought that the singing part was Mike. The LPA version is an early version, if you compare it with the final version of The Instrumental it's got a few differences.
But you can't request audio there... that's why i drag the discussion over here.

What makes the LPA MBs better than this mbs is the fact that people there are concerned about the music and the band, not about how hot Mike is or stupid stuff like that. Seems like you found the right thread of SP&IP, ha.
Yup, that's the best thing about the LPA. You can learn a lot bout LP from them. Agree that fangirlism is pretty sick sometime, but I personally think that LPA are way too hard on this issue.
I myself have seen many respectable female members of the LP fans community show their interest in the guys' outlooks, and it doesn't make them any less respectable. Of course, the question is, where to show your enthusiasm toward this issue. Vomiting fangirl attitude everywhere is not the answer.
I remember seeing this old mod on FMMB on the other board, and she was like 'ooh, Mike's hot' or 'sooo cute' or many other things and I was very surprised. I never bring myself squirming about stuff like Mike's hot/handsome, since it's pretty much like a sign of fangirlism, and I don't want to be labeled like that, but I won't deny that I find him attractive. Then I suddenly realized that it's pretty normal to be attracted to the guys. We're not asexual, we even check out guys on the street and why shouldn't we check out those LP guys?
Some guys, on other hand, assume all females who commented on Mike/the band's outlooks are teeny boppers. I find it sexist. It's okay for male fans to express their love to female idol's outlook, but when it comes to female fans, they have much stricter view on it. Agree that some girls have some loud way to declare their love/desire, but not all are like that, and it's not an option to judge one's personality or their fan status either.
Ah, that's totally off-topic. Just let it go, lulz. I just feeling like ranting a lil bit :o

mike on his blog regarding "Plaster"
February 20, 2008
a few weeks ago, one of our top LP fan sites, LP association, posted an old demo version of one step closer, back when it was still called “plaster.” they did a piece on the article which seemed to be searching for facts and trying to figure out the authenticity of the recording. i heard it, and i thought i’d try to help out.
LP Association article and links to song HERE
the track found on their link is actually a rough of the song in its final stages, after we had finished all the recording, but before a final mix. we were trying to decide who should mix the album, and we had our hearts set on andy wallace. our A&R guy’s boss at WB was david kahne.
according to our A&R guy at the time: david was one of the people who wasn’t 100% impressed with our band and our sound, and wanted to take a crack at mixing this song in order to improve things (and obviously try to convince us to let him mix the record). this may or may not be true, but that’s what we were told. obviously, david did a good job (the lpassociation mp3 is his mix)...but we decided to stick with our gut and go with andy. we had a feeling that andy, who mixed nirvana’s “nevermind,” would be a better fit for us.
some of the differences you can hear between “plaster” and the final album mix (by andy wallace)...
the main things that i remember sticking out to me when i first heard it was that david’s mix made the verses sound thick (because of the low end) and therefore the choruses lost a little bit of their punch.
some samples also stood out. the camera shutter-ish samples you hear in david’s mix are actually in the final andy wallace mix as well, but they’re mixed quieter (and thinner, i think). we liked them quieter in andy’s mix because they put more emphasis on the groove of rob’s drums.
finally, a deciding factor for brad and i against david’s mix was the edit to the “shut up” stuff—putting it in the intro. it made it sound like a remix, and ruined the surprise of the “shut up” coming in during the bridge (our thought was: if you’ve already heard that vocal part, the bridge packs less of a punch. it ruined the climax). that made me feel like we didn’t really see eye-to-eye on this mix, so although the mix was good overall, we chose to have andy mix the song and album.
in david’s interview with lpassociaton, he is (understandably) fuzzy about the details of our relationship back then. maybe it’s because he was dealing with many bands, while we, on the other hand, were only dealing with one album, and one label. hopefully i can help out by putting some details out there. david wasn’t involved with us when mark was in the band-he may have heard of us, but he didn’t work on our stuff. he did, however, get involved a bit once we were in the studio, by hearding demos and giving feedback-the same thing many label people and A&R folks do.
as you’ve heard, though, much of the feedback we got from the label at that time didn’t line up with the album we wanted to make or the band we wanted to be, so we chose to follow our own path.
the good and bad news about “plaster” is that i can’t think of another, earlier demo of the song that would really exist. the only step before this one probably wouldn’t have included any lyrics, but all the instrumental tracks would essentially be the same. as we wrote the song, we immediately recorded it, so that is to say there is only one recording; the first notes of the demo were in the same protools file that the song was finished in. there are no “live” demos, nor “garage recordings” of the song. so this version of “plaster” might be the earliest version out there.
he said absolutely nothing about it being track 1 of 4.

Mike Shinoda quote: "Before Linkin Park got going we were in the studio all the time. We played maybe one show a month. I guess the one thing is I made the original beat for “Marco Polo” by Styles of Beyond. But they ended up having a different producer do the one for the record."
Clear up some fact about Marco Polo. So the one on the 2000 Fold record is not produced by Mike.

OK. I tried to update my list a little bit. Added latest singles, albums, EPs, Added some other singles, few other tracks. I'm still missing many recent tracks. Would be nice if someone could help me out with it. Thanks

I think you should open a new thread with your new updated list in the first post and ask the mods to make it a "sticky"... and from then on, if there is some song missing or new released stuff, people would do their contributions and you could update it from time to time.
A smarter title for the thread than "all the linkin park songs from the start till now..." would also help

Yeah. I Agree. But for now, before opening a thread I want to complete the list, because when I add something in the middle of it - it says that the post is too big. I have to think what to move to another post....

oh, yeah. Sounds reasonable. I'll check the list you posted, see if I see if there's something I know missing.

Those songs are just those that can be obtained by every mortal with enough commitment to look for them. Of course, there are A LOT of songs that are virtually impossible to find or just a few have and won't share them. As always, i'm sure Aphelion will have even more stuff to add.
aha brilliant collection
dont suppose you have when they played sheffield on 25 of january 2008? i did have it but apparently it got deleted, if you do is there anyway you could send me it.
cheers
