'high voltage' on the 2nd disc of hybrid theory is amazing
i like the part in the end chorus where the guy (im not actually sure who it is?) is like 'they try and put a label on it, so they can .... water it down' 'you can't put a label on a lifestyle' or something like that

have they confirmed yet what will be...the b sides of the new album..and if theyll play anysongs that didnt get released on the cd..
and yea i think b sides is taken from the cassette days where the A side usually had the song/single and the other side(b side) would have either a unreleased song or something like an interview or freestyle

actually the b-side thing comes from vinyl singles. It had two sides, side A and side B... in Side A you had the single itself, the one that belongs to the LP, and very often those singles had another song recorded on the opposite side, side b. Those songs, didnt make it into the LP. There it is.

LP is a weird band when it comes to b-sides. A normal band, when releasing bonus tracks, they're b-sides, but not LP, their bonus tracks they're always live recordings... that's why it's kind of a problem to identify the actual b-sides, 'cuz they are almost any...

HT EP tracks are not b-sides, nor are the songs recorded when they're named Xero or Hybrid Theory. Actually, if a band calls a song "demo" then it's obviously not a bside. Bsides are songs that are finished but at last moment, the band scrapped it from the LP. So... what are LP bsides?...

Those are the ones we know about.

Then, this band has those kind of mythological bsides... such as Meteora's Shifter (supposedly its SIB working title), Nocturnal (SUPPOSEDLY to be Hit The Floor or Numb working title...However, this tracks are full instrumentals that's all it's known)... the reanimation track featuring DJ Shadow and I don't know who else, and now, with MTM, Japan and Grecian... we'll probably never listen to 'em.

They do have thousands of thousands of bsides... but Warner won't let 'em release them, for sure.
