Research into the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of cannabis continued to bolster the case for the medicinal use of marijuana, making the pot laws that have passed in 11 states seem less like a social movement than a legitimate medical trend. One trial..the first controlled study of its kind...showed that thc lessened the pain of arthritus and actually also suppressed the disease. An earlier study published by the journal of neuroscience showed that the cannabinoids, the chemicals in marijuana, can reduce inflammaton in the brain and may protect the brain from cognitive decline like alzheimers disease. Also, many other uses are being studied and the plant is being haled as a medical wonder. This comes from time magazine...interesting news.

Didn't you already make a thread about maryj as medicine? Couldn't you have posted this there instead of making yet another thread? Seriously.

Adopt Holland's policy for marijuana, at least for personal amounts/usage, and go after the dealers like the they should be doing. The war on drugs in the US is an even bigger failure than Iraq and yet no one cares about the billions and billions we have wasted on it. And marijuana isnt even the problem unless you ask some "expert" on drug abuse.
