What cd was this going to be on? Reanimation? At the end mike is like "this project is fun", so I think it was supposed to be on some cd...

It was on the LP Underground v4.0 CD, and I think they made that song exclusively for that CD.

Which is because Sold My Soul to Yo Mama was recorded in the studio at the same time Collision Course was.

Which is because Sold My Soul to Yo Mama was recorded in the studio at the same time Collision Course was.really? i thought it was done afterwards. but what you say would make good sense. :)

to me it doesnt make THAT much sense. Perhaps it was done while Collision Course was being recorded, but the fact that that quote is in the song doesn't mean a thing... at least to me.

I thought they were running against the clock when recording Collision Course... but it seems they had time to have fun.

They had one day in the studio WITH JAY, but I have a feeling LP was there for a couple days before that. SMSTYM was all Joe except for Mike doing the guitar parts, Joe can whip up an instrumental track in a couple hours most likely. I don't see why they'd just randomly stick that sample in at the end of the song anyway if it had no relation to anything. Plus, when else was LP actually in the studio in 2004 anyway?

well, they toured in 04? and it's known they work on their tour bus. Don't misunderstand me, i'm not saying you're wrong. All i'm saying that the sample in the end doesn't mean anything. It's just that it's improbable the fact that Joe analyzes what everyone says and goes: uh, that could be made into a beautiful sample. He must have seen the dvd before adding that quote, and added it after the song was already done. Whatever it is, the sample by itself is not enough evidence to say that the song was done during cc or after it... or even before it.

But again, i'm not saying you are mistaken, all i say that the sample is just not something to pay attention to when trying to establish when the song was done.
