Mike did say when I asked him that he worked with all the people he wanted to on his first album but there are many more he would love to work with. talk about typical ambiguous answers! i think when the LP hype has died a bit and Chester's solo stuff is released and Mike has itchy fingers we will get another one! I sure as hell hope so, its nice seeing the other side of Mister Shinoda.

militia cd was just leftover songs from the beginning FM songs. there's a couple that were some of the first ones he made. he didn't go out of the way to make them.

we major was mostly done by the dj. rising tied was the only mainstream released album. over here, anyway.

Fort Minor is not only Mike... FM is a cluster of artists working together, each adding their own identity to the FM style. It's not a band but a collective, at least, that's how i see it.

SOB did a lot of work with Mike in FM, and they're trying to release another album at the moment, so perhaps what he meant by that is any future FM albums would have to wait until after Rocket Surgery.

EDIT: well i found it, actually the article was "re-published" few days ago, the original publishing date was 06/20/07... so it's kind of old. However, Chester talks about "a few years" not "next year" when referring to when might the album be finished.

In some newer articles, he said it maybe out 2008 but then, Chester's solo album has been delayed for years so I guess he may make it 2009 instead of 2008.

The simple reason why Mike has to wait for Chester done with his solo is that he doesn't want any kind of competition between two front men of Linkin Park. Tho they're into two different genre, the gossipers won't let go of a chance to compare them.

No i didnt got the fm site promo/demo... the sad thing is that i used to have that, a friend of mine ripped it... i think i've got it on a cd somewhere, but it had no labels so well... i've got 359 unlabeled cds; so i'll probably wait til someone is kind enough to share it with me.

HHH has this Fort Minor vibe, but with Fort Minor, Mike can say more than that. Cigarette, Back Home, Feel Like Home, In Stereo, Remember The Name... are so different, they can't fit LP at all. Just like Chester, who has written darker lyrics and those lyrics couldn't fit LP so he decides to make it with his solo career later.

So I think, Mike still have creative space with FM.

well, chester said so. but i think it'll be probably another filler album. i wonder what will they come up with this time... they already did a remix album, they released a live album, live stuff in LPUs and they're releasing all their bootlegs officially. So, i guess they will have to do a remix album again or something totally new and unexpected.
