FIRST THREAD!
I've loved Linkin Park ever since they were Xero but after all these years why only three studio albums? I like Reanimation and Live in Texas, etc. but its really questionable only three studio albums. By the way MTM ROX SOX:cool:

dunno, why, but i like the 6 albums ^^ and the LPU tracks .____. i think reanimation was done because mike wanted the old tracks to get a new meaning... dunno, but 4 me it sounds like that... like "enth e nd"... i felt like mike is telling the story of "in the end" again but from a different point of view ^^ and added a few more verses ^^ love it ^^ the same thing`s with CC... i like the changing character of each song ^^ ( i exaggerate a bit )... but there are 4 (!!! ) versions of in the end... each one with a different meaning ^^ ( demo, in the end, enth e nd, izzo/ in the end ) ^^

you have a good point. many of the songs that were "reanimated" had different points of views to the subject that its talking about. Enth e end was basically looking back at the song and talking about whats changed about their point of view on it. many songs are like that on the cd. but does anyone know why they released only three albums over the course of 7 years? I know it must be hard to write new lyrics and rythms and stuff but it seems like other bands dont take that long.

it was not hard for the band to write new tracks or do more beats. ( for M2M they had over 150 ideas o.O ) i think itīs the changing style. "hybrid theory" had quite a lot of hip hop-elements in it ^^ you cannot compare "forgotten" to any other LP song... the way mike and the others wrote was different... more lyrical, using more metaphors, dunno but i have this feeling. in "meteora" the main part is rock, the lyrics are in a way clearer... ( i mean by that: it was hard for me to understand songs like "pushing me away" oder "forgotten"... "runaway" with these skies of dust ( grey )). it was much easier to understand the meaning of a song =) but the multiple way of understanding the lyrics were saved =)... "m2m" is just so far away from the metora and HT... it`s an artistic progress =) they grew up... all in all i really think it`s because they take care about changing the style. they just try to reach a higher level... this process took time =)

So what i think your saying is they will release more albums in the future but will not take that long to make? To me it sounds like they are trying different things and see which one the people like the most and stick with the sound the people like the most...so linkin park fans are ginie pigs? Are they just testing how we like each album including the remix and live albums? They have profiles on here dont they? i know Mike does but the others? i would really like them to answer this one. If my theory is correct then i would like them to sound like M2M but less soft songs. I want songs like In Pieces, No More Sorrow, Bleed it Out, and Given Up. Feel free to disagree with my theory im just thinking about answers to my questions. What does everyone else think other than Kudo89?

No, it`s not like that ^^ Itīs natural that their style is changing ^^ it`s a part of an artistic progress... i know this by myself.. i draw quite a lot.. and over years i developped
my own style.. i just want to say: they went through different phases.. first with HT.. they tried to define the way LP is... then they worked on Meteora, having the thought to add certain and important aspects to their music... they just want to do better =) and now M2M.. it took so long because the band want to break up with their old style because it was easy to replicate. they just wanted to make music... they don`t care about the style.. they invented their own way of making music... that`s why i wouldn`t say that LP is Nu Metal... For me LP is LP ^^ you cannot compare anything with them =) The way M2M was made is very personal.. everyone wrote parts for it... ( i think the main parts of HT and Met. were written by brad and mike ). it`s just about doing something completely new =) i appreciate this work a lot =)... they won`t publish any album in the next years... ^^ maybe there`ll be a remix-album ^^

NO wrong is the right word
anyway i think im starting to get what you are saying...but wouldn't another Remix album make it feel as if that is thier style? like to make new songs every 5 years or so and then remix them to make them sound cooler? uhhh...i have a band in progress and i right lyrics for it...i have recorded some of our work to my friends and they once ask me to change my look and sound. i did and i released it to more people they liked it. I would really like to see your work and see how you;ve changed as an example. WOW i just barely recognized that we had a very long discussion about this. Good talk eh? anyway so will linkin Park be changing thier style each time or just stick with the style the fans, and listeners like more or just make another remix album? Please carry on on this topic its getting good. ^.^

I really donīt know... a new album is far away in the future ^^ the experience they`ll make will influence their style =) i mean writing the lyrics for his FM-project Mike invented ( no, sorry, wrong word.. "change" isn`t much better, maybe "improve"... no .___. you know what i mean ^^ something like developping ) a new style of making lyrics. like in "hands held high". for me thatīs Mike`s ultimative masterpiece ^^ you cannot say which way they`ll take.. but you can say they will be faithful to their sound. the next album to come out is Chester`s solo-project ^^ "Snow white tan" or something like that.. dunno the real name exactly =( then maybe a next FM-record.. =) this experience will change the style of LP once again - in my opinion. ^^
( and 2 my drawings: i havenīt got the very old pics on my PC.. i started to draw in the age of 12... now, i`m 18 xD Iīve drawn my avatar by myself ( itīs me in sketch-manga-look xD ) if you like i could send you some links to pics that are about one year old and to the newest ones ^^ if you have icq... you could add me =) number would be 416-512-430 =) )

It`s "snow white tan". he wanted to publish it this year, i think, but he stopped working on it to concentrate on M2M.. in his eyes the band-record was more important ^^ dunno when but i think it`ll be published next year ^^ thereīs one track already published ^^ "the morning after"... you can find it here: The Morning after (http://youtube.com/watch?v=SiKFKD3qaZM) ... i don`t really like this song, but, nya :D :D
