Well I didn't get that job... must continue searching.
Maybe I should try some ''oppisopimus'' thing. Or go to cloth store for seller, but I hate ''kassa''.:p
Awww, sorry to hear that =( I'm getting job offers all of a sudden from all directions O.o
That's a good option if you know what you want to do =) I'm afraid "kassa" is quite unevitable thing in today's world. Not that it made me hate it any less xD

Thanks for the tip though, I think I've gotten rather tired of HIM though.

I've been trying to study for an exam but I can't concentrate... I'm just waiting for tonight's hapkido to get to leave the house for a while and get my mind off things. I think I'll go read HP7 now.

It's not, I was seriously thinking about leaving this place the other day but not anymore =] This'll make keeping contact easier again!
I'm on my 5th HP book at the moment and I went to see the movie about it on sunday so since I'm not finished, watching it kind of ruined it for me because now I know how the book ends and shit =P I have the 6th waiting on my night table and if the library doesn't have the english version of the newest one, I think I might just buy it because I don't want to wait for like 6 months until I can finish the whole series.
Oh and I was invited for a job interview today for the Lidl jobs =|

True, so much easier and quicker too.
Yeah, book 5 is so sad. ='( Book 6 was alright, a tad boring at times, but book 7 was really good. I'm sure libraries will have it by now, you might have to make a reservation for it though and wait a while.

Yup! *nods* I feel bad because I still haven't had a proper look on the photos you sent me from your trip to Bulgaria =(
Oh, I'll check in a minute if our library has it and how many reservations there's for it already. If there's lots, I'll just buy it. Although I can't really afford it >.> I'd really need to start saving money for Düsseldorf because I'm not really going to get any money close to the trip.
What would you think?=P I'm not feeling really nervous though...I just figured I'll be myself and if they'll hire me, they will. The interview is on thursday and it's going to last 2-3 hours O.o There'll be others do so I suppose it's going to be a group interview. I'm a little worried that IF I get a job...They'll "kouluttaa" their new workers theirselves and since the place opens in december, I'm afraid it'll interfere with my trip to Germany. I'd hate to lose the job for that but there's no way I'll cancel the trip either.

It is :( And what a horrible death, I can't imagine it being pleasant to die in hypothermia.
On another subject, I had that job interview today and didn't get a job. I'm not too disappointed though because I'm not mostly likely the most ideal person to work a sale person in a grocery store since I'm not very extroverted...I got a phonecall of a possible job right after I got home from that =P The good thing about today is that MCR will be at this show on MTV called "Axl Meets" that airs next friday and hopefully it'll be about their concert in Finland since there was people from MTV outside the ice hall then. It'd be about time.

Still is the most evil lyrics ever to come out of a finnish band:
"Once in the time of chaos,
of sunless days and of unhappiness.
The statue of the triumphant master
stood proud and grim.
In the light of three descending moons,
in twisted and cracked open.
Unleashing the Goblin King
once again, for the last time.
Misfortune and Chaos,
Grief and Destruction.
The works of Dreaming evil,
and the joy of unholiness.
No soul was left alone,
in the mayhem of the human race,
"Hahahahaa!!!. Let us joy. Let us dance!!!"
So they danced their macabre dances"

He's definitely taller than Frank, OMG, that dude is so adorably small <3 :p Axl wasn't that far away from the venue but I can't really say how tall he is. I think the rest of the band are quite tall. Not sure though, I mean obviously they were all taller than me since I'm only 157cm =P

Hah, yeah I suppose it is. I wonder how they managed to lose ALL of them. I sent like 8 or 10 cards.
Good good. I'm halfway through book 7 now, haven't had much time to read it lately. I have an exam next week Friday and I still haven't gotten hold of the other book I need to read for it. And I still haven't finished reading the first one either =P It's about Sociology of Religion. Kinda boring, though a bit interesting at the same time.
I see you did not get the job. Oh well, there'll be other opportunities. I've been to a couple of group interviews, I just don't like having to tell stuff about myself in a group of strangers. That's also why I dislike the seminar meetings that go with my essay work. I hate having to discuss my or even other people's things in public with all the rest of the group listening and replying.
That's true. I disliked film 4 because they had made the dragon chase much longer than in the book, which then of course took time away from other, more relevant, events. But I suppose action scenes work better for a movie, which made it acceptable.

Well that's pretty weird, I can give you that =| I still appreciate it that you did send me one although I didn't get it, it's the thought that counts ;) I'll try to make it into a point to send some cards from Germany but we have such a short time to be there so we'll see...Oh. I'll stay the weekend after the trip in Turku, maybe we could have a little meet up or something?=)
Sounds like the book I'm reading right now; I feel like I'm not understanding it as I should yet I just have to keep reading although it's a bit boring =P Anyways, I hope you'll get that other book you need to read and get them both read for the test. All the best luck for it<3
Doesn't sound like the kind of situation I'd appreciate much either. They didn't really ask anything personal in front of the others; just some very general questions and ones where you could just answer freely but everytime I thought of something, someone else already said it so I never really got a chance to say anything. I pretty much just talked when I was asked something but that's just how I am in situations like that, unfortunately people tend to read that as arrogance sometimes or assume that you won't get along with people. I talked to my friend who got into an individual interview the next day and she said it was horrible, it almost sounded like she didn't want the job anymore xD You've propavbly heard about how they apparently treat their staff at LIDL?

What date would that be? If I don't have anything else, then sure we can meet up again.
I did get the other book and I signed up today for the exam for next Friday. So now I have exactly one week to study. The subject isn't that difficult really, it's easy to understand and "pohtia" over yourself, but if I have to remember lots of names of researchers and theories, then I'm screwed. I have no idea what kind of assignments or questions this teacher usually has because I've never done any courses for her before. But I have a feeling I can't "pretend" to know anyhthing and ramble on repeating simple facts like you can for some teachers.
I have heard about it. I think there was even something on TV once about it, probably back when LIDL first came to Finland.
I just got a call from work asking why I've put myself unavailable for two weeks. Well, it's because of the exam. I really dislike answering the phone when I know it's work calling cause I don't like the people there. =P
On top of being busy with studying, I should find time next week to go shop for a shirt or top for my brother's wedding, which is on the 13th. I have black pants and jacket, but the only top I have is black and that would be a bit funeral-ish... So I need to find something else in a different color. Preferably not white, since then I'd look like a waitor.
A bit, yeah. I thought the two first films felt like the fairy tale the books are because there weren't alot of huge special effects and they weren't so scary. I think they've tried a bit too hard with the rest of them, although I can't say they're bad. I think the most disappointing was film 3 because that's my favorite book. The greatest thing about the movies is definitely the amazing actors they've found. And I'm talking about the adults now, not the kids, although they're pretty good too, especially looks-wise. I LOVE McGonagall and Snape and the original Dumbledore. Too bad the actor died, I don't like the new one at all. The original was great, like 100% how I imagined him in the books. And OMG they could not have made a better choice for Voldemort. The actors are what make the films so good, to me.

It's on the 11th of november which is father's day so I can totally see if it doesn't fit you. Liz is coming too and Sini, who I'm sleeping over, possibly.
Well it sounds like you should just study those researchers and theories then mainly and you should do well! Good that you got the other book too so you can get on with it ;)
There was, I didn't watch it myself but I heard about it from other people. Strange stuff like that you need to wear a pin so they know you've got periods and you can visit the bathroom more than once a day.
Awww, that sucks =( I hate answering work related phone calls too because it always feels like I have to take the whatever work is offered. I'll get to work at the dry cleaner's for real money after I get back from Germany, possibly even for 6 months since she can get some kind of "tuki" for me. It'd be great if it would happen because I really like it there, the people are great and time passes really quickly.
I wish I was busy for a change, i feel like I've got too much time in my hands at all times so I'm usually just bored...Good luck with finding a shirt for that wedding! Is it going to be a big one? On the subject of clothes, Skeleton Crew should be re-stocking soon and I should be able to order some ubercool shirts since I got my PayPal up and running
Dumbledore also fits how I thought he was in the movies. And Snape too, Voldemort's scary =( lol Look-wise the main actors are pretty much perfect, that's true...I can't really say which movie is my least or most favourite but I know I'll watch the two last ones anyways =P
Tomorrow should be cool; there's going to be a show on TV where Axl from MTV meets MCR so it's most likely about the concert in Finland or scratch, IT is about it =P My brother saw an add for it yesterday and i saw it myself today and the flag I made is on it xD Aside of that, there's going to be some fire/light performance thingie in town that I'm going to see =) It should be amazing if the writing in today's local paper is anything to go by!

You know, there's no quarantee if it works because I haven't got to try it out yet but I assume it does because they've charged my account from paypal already.
I won't be going to Pori for fathers day; a text message will suffice. I suppose I will be here, there might always come up something later, but at this moment I think we can agree to meet up.
I've got down to a couple of theories which don't seem too difficult to remember, but it's just SO boring. I tried continuing to read from where I got to yesterday, but started feeling exremely sleepy.... >.>
Good luck with the dry cleaners, sounds like a good opportunity to earn some money. ;) I'll have to start taking work shifts next week again, once I'm rid of this exam.
I decided to wear a red shirt I bought last year for a xmas party. It's pretty and since it's October, it didn't matter really if I looked like I was going to a xmas party again. =P It was definitely better than all black. The wedding was a civil one, with the "vihkiminen" at the magistrate which took less than 5 minutes... Only people present were parents and I and the bridesmaid and bestman with their significant others. And the bride's daughter of course. Afterwards we went for champagne to a pub nearby and then to a restaurant. The actual wedding reception will be in two parts; first at a relative's place for relatives (maybe 50-60 people) this weekend, and then another less formal a week later in Turku for 40+ friends.
To reply to a part in your email - check out a vegetarian cook book at the library: Kasviskeittiö by Tuija Ruuska. I got it for xmas or birthday one year and it has quite a few good recipies. It also has some advice on how to create a balanced and nutritious diet and some info on various seeds and things that are less known here. I love the cauliflower soup in it.

You know, there's no quarantee if it works because I haven't got to try it out yet but I assume it does because they've charged my account from paypal already. I made my account for my Visaelectron at Sampo and as far as I know, they only accept those from Sampo and Nordea. And possibly Osuuspankki.
Wohooo! Apparently it worked, my card's been charged and my order will be send on the 23rd ^_^
Lookie what I ordered:
"I'm a monster" (http://www.bluecollardistro.com/bcd/product_info.php?products_id=1139&cPath=1_5&store=)
S//C (http://www.bluecollardistro.com/bcd/product_info.php?products_id=1139&cPath=1_5&store=)
42.40$ all together but only a little over 30 in euros.
I also wanted the "ribs" (http://www.bluecollardistro.com/bcd/advanced_search_result.php?name=bcd&keywords=skeleton%20crew&page=2) hoodie but I already have one that is almost identical so...

Ok, just let me know if something does come up and if there does, it's totally fine because I'm also able to hang out with Sini but she possibly has some family thing since it's father's day so I thought I'd ask you. Of course, it would also be good to see you again for real ;)
awww and it isn't really any use to continue reading when it goes to that because none of it will sink in. Or that's how it always was for me on the rare times when i actually read for exams at school =P So, are we only relying on good luck now with the test?;D
I'll be starting at the dry cleaner's right after I get back from Germany, the sucky thing is that I propably have to work on christmas too but it's okay really as long as I get home for the evenings. A family friend just drops by, she works at a lounch restaurant here and came to ask me for work but I had to turn it down since I'm at the dry cleaner's now; the truth is, I couldīve still worked there for the couple of days that they needed me but I don't really feel comfortable working with her. She's nice and all but she just makes me feel like I'm a pain in the ass if I need to ask for help.
Sounds like a wedding like that is a good excuse to have several parties =P It's good that you actually had a t-shirt you could wear already so you didn't have to spend any extra money for it. I've only been to one wedding this far, that of my uncles. And talking about clothes...I ordered red "ruuutupillihousut" today, I've been lusting over a pair for AGES. They were fucking expensive but I hardly ever buy clothes so I think I can forive myself =P
Thanks for the tip, I'll write that down =) I've done some research on how to replace all the stuff that I'd normally get from meat already though. I haven't had any meat for a little over a week now, not much but I'm definitely going to keep it up and I'm not really even feeling any cravins for meat =/ Might be because I already felt kind of disgusted with it before I actually decided to try to become a vegetarian. I still need to get myself into buying "luomu" milk and eggs.
Aaaaaand I got myself an appointment for a haircut today ^_^ I've had it all planned, what I want for a while now. I'm gonna cut my hair like this: Frank. (http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/1703/largemsg1136606195532qx8.jpg)

Hmm, well, I did write quite a bit in the test, although I don't know if I wrote about the right things... =P And there WAS a question on researchers and their theories. -.- I suppose I'll have to drop by school some day and check out wether I passed.
Edit: got a 2.5 out of 3 on the exam.
I'm too picky about the days and times that I accept work for.. I'd hate to work on christmas, even if you get paid more. I don't like taking work for weekends or evenings because that's when Mikko isn't working so I like to spend those times with him.
I'll have to clean my apartment properly tomorrow since I offered to let a couple of wedding guests stay at my place this weekend. This next party is very informal so I suppose it'll be fun. The last one wasn't too formal either, everything went well. They had Donald and Daisy Duck on the cake instead of the usual bride and groom. :D Among the guests was my second cousin with his little 5-month-old baby girl. She is the cutest thing I've ever seen! Made me kinda want one too. :p
I like meat, but I like vegetarian food to bring some change into it. Mikko isn't big on vegetarian food, even if he'd say it tastes good he'll say it lacks something because there's no meat  Men. My brother is exactly the same. I usually buy "lattiakanojen munia" or "vapaa" eggs, but eco milk is a bit too expensive. I've found that at least eco tomatoes taste much better than the usual ones.
Ohh. 8| That looks really weird, but I don't know, maybe it suits you. Do you have a picture of your new hair yet?

Congratulations and wow, you did AMAZINGLY well ^_^ So what no`? Do you have other exams left or what until you'll graduate?
It's good that you dare to be picky. I mean, I'm a bit the kind of person who doesn't know how to say "NO" and then I'll end up exhausting myself.
I can totally understand that...I wouldn't really want to work on christmas either, I dislike the thought of it. I know I'll make more money for it but money isn't the first thing I look for in a job, the most important thing for me is that I somewhat enjoy it.
Are you having a baby-fever??O.o HAve you talked about any of that stuff with Mikko? Babies are cute but for some reason, I've become rather irritated with little kids on the past few years. Nice of you to let those wedding quests stay at your place, are they coming from far away?
Hmmm, i think i'll switch in to all that "eko" stuff when I live by myself because I don't want to make my parents pay for them because they're quite expensive. I've been feeling fluish almost non-stop for quite a while, I don't know if it can be because of not eating meat but I definitely neet get more information on it to make sure I'm getting all the stuff I need. Meat I have at least replaced with this soya stuff.
I won't have my appointment until the 29th so no =P I'll post one though ,once it's done. I'm not necessarily getting it cut identically like Frank has in that picture but something of the sort; with the long fringe on the front and really short all around. I'm gonna get a pink stripe to the long fringe thought, for sure =P

I shouldn't be picky because I need the money >.>
I suppose I could work this Saturday since Mikko will be away, but there's always Hapkido... =P I just hate that they give out the shifts usually the day before. You don't get to plan much ahead.
No, not really =P I suppose I'm just getting older. I guess I do want kids at some point but not just yet. And no, we haven't really discussed babies, only joked about making a "mistake". And when we were visiting his brother whose kids were being loud and disobedient, I asked Mikko "so how many of those do you want?". He replied "as many as you can take care of". (Which is 0) :p
The guests who stayed at my place came from Lahti and Helsinki, so not from that far. It was nice seeing them, I've known one of them my whole life but hadn't seen him for years.
I used soy for one of the dishes in the cook book I mentioned and it tasted horrible. I've had good soy too, so you just need to know how to prepare it, but I'm not that into it to start experimenting.
Ok, main thing is it's something you like. =) I need to have a haircut too soon, it's getting too long again. I'd actually like to grow it out for a change but I know I'll hate it when it's all sweaty and in my eyes during training.
I woke up at 6.30 today which is not at all normal for me. I told myself I'd go to the gym tomorrow morning since it's been a while again so I should go to bed and get some sleep. I've slept less well again lately.. =/

Oh yeah, that dreadful thing =/ Did you get it start or anything earlier, when you were trying to work on it?
Well of course there's always THAT...Money's a bitch, it really is.
That definitely sucks but that's propably where the whole "renting" title comes from, that they have people on the lists who can came in emergencies.
HAHA! That reminds me of my cousin's daughter, they came for a brief visit on the weekend. I saw the baby for the first time and she was soooo adorable, it was the cutest thing ever when she put her face close to her mom's and licked her nose :p
Sounds nice =)
You just have to cook it in boiling water for 5 minutes and it'll resemble minced meat. It doesn't really taste like anything to me but then I bought this powder which of you can make veggie pancakes and it was horrible =X
Well that's definitely a thing you need to take into consideration =/ And it'll take a while for it to grow so long that you can put it on a ponytail. I'm having second thoughts of the hair I'm gonna get, kind of. Mom just got the front of my hair not long ago so I don't know if the hair I want will work but I think I'll take a picture with me and say that I want something similar, it doesn't have to be identical.I have really "harvat" hair in the middle of my head too.

*is having morning sickness*
Not that kind of morning sickness! Just this thing I get once in a while. Had to call in sick for school too even though it never lasts long, but I couldn't have walked to school in this state.
I get this feeling like my upper stomach is being sucked inwards and I can't breathe deep and I feel like puking and can't stand up straight. Plus an awful headache. I have no idea what causes it, I only get it in the mornings (very rarely though) and it goes away in a couple of hours.

Not really. I did think about the theme a bit though and came up with a plan. I was given a deadline for end of November to produce some text for all the chapters, so I think it'll start rolling now. I'll start with writing about the Coptic Church, which will give me more knowledge about the history and hopefully some ideas for the other chapters.
lmao! That's so funny :D I think babies and kids up to like 3 are really cute, but after that they just get annoying. =P
Another change in me is that I don't dislike our hapkido kids anymore... =P I've been instructing them lately and they're really quite sweet and funny, and not just annoying like I used to think.
I've had some really tasty soy that looked like minced meat, but the kind I bought (and prepared it as supposed) just tasted horrible. I think I'll leave that to those who know how to do it well.
By the way, I'm going to make cauliflower soup today - that's in the veggie cook book too. It's one of my favorites.
You had your hair dresser's appointment yesterday, didn't you? Well?!?!? :D
I've had my hair long enough to put it in a pony tail, but my hair is so sleek and slippery that it doesn't stay in a pony tail even with a rubber band. =/
Hapkido doesn't build your muscles. =P I should buy these 1kg ankle weights so I could do an excercise the physiotherapist told me to do...

Hmmm, propably better that you stayed home by the sound of it =/ Have you seen a doctor about that?
Well I don't really know anything else to say to that than good luck and just try to stick into writing and whatnot although it might get boring sometimes and when you do get bored, it's propably wise to have a break. Keep me updated how you're doing ;)
Depends of the kid I guess, I have two cousins who are siblings and the other is 6 and the other 8...They can get pretty annoying for sure -___- But as an opposite to that, they can be quite cute aswell.
Cool =D The only way to get rid of your prejudice or whatever is to get involved with the object of them.
I guess it's just a matter of practise to become good at it buuuut I'm not forcing you to eat it, you know =P The good thing about soy is that you only have to eat 24g of it to get the daily dose of all the stuff that's in meat + soy has all that twice more than meat does.
I had a look on that book from the website for "suomalainen kirjakauppa" but it cost over 40 =/ i have some vegetarian books borrowed from the library but it would definitely be useful to have one of my own.
Well, the girl who cut my hair pretty much freaked out when I showed her the picture. haha What I got isn't even nearly as rough than what I thought but I still love it=) The idea of it is quite the same as in the pic; it's really short on the back and sides but has this long part on the top. I don't think you can really see it that well in this pic but...here ya go :

I don't have much experience with kids and that makes it kind of awkward. At least in hapkido we have certain rules, so I can boss them around and make them obey. :D
Copy down all the good recipies from the library books. Yhteishyvä comes with recipies every time and there are also some in Pirkka, although they aren't always vegetarian ones.
Hahaha! Did she tell you not to do it? :p From what I can see, I think it looks pretty good on you. I wouldn't shave it completely off because my head would freeze...
Yes, my hair sucks.
I have 3kg "käsipainot" too, but they're a bit too heavy for the physio excercises and too light for muscle training. Of course, that's just an excuse for not doing the physio stuff. =P
Edit: It seems I will be in Turku and available on the 11th. It's already next week, which means your trip to Germany is getting nearer!

Well that propably sets a certain vibe to it, that you haven't spend that much time with kids. haha! So having the permission to boss them around and stuff makes it easier, huh?=P
Yeah, I am intending to do that but I can't concentrate on anything like that right now because of the trip but I always keep an eye out for recipes when I'm flipping through magazines and stuff =) Dad had gotten me this "valmisruoka" spinach soup today and it was horrible =X
She wasn't really into it and I think I'll skip the shaving, at least for now =P I love it now pretty much and I've gotten a lot of compliments on how it looks too ^_^ The girl who cut it was so cute though, when I showed her the picture of what I want, she was like"O.o Oh now...I'll just go and get the teacher."haha I think she did a great job and hopefully I'll have enough money left after I'm back home to get it dyed; pink on sides and the back and that long fringe thingie will be black.
lol awwww =( You know, as I wrote before my hair is really thin on the top but she cut it somehow so that it actually looks really thick now.
Haha! Naturally xD Mom bought this awesome cream called "Voltaren" that has actual medicine in it so it takes the ache away pretty fast.

I would be leaving even if I was sick though and if I would've gotten sick and died in the concert, at least I would've died happy.haha Anyways, I really, truely hope you won't get sick and propably not since the gig is already tomorrow ^_^

Haha yeaaah.
Dir en grey were AWESOME. I got so near the stage I was in heaven. I waited outside Tavastia for 11 hours and it was definitely worth it. Though it was quite cold that day =x Chatted with some other peeps to make the time go faster.
I still can't believe I've seen them live. They're one of my favourite bands too.
Haha I got ''used'' water on my face from Kyo (the singer of Dir en grey). The water was needed. The atmosphere was so tight inside the club and in the audience. The pressure was even more powerful than it was during the MUCC gig. At one point I had to put my face towards the ceiling to get some air. I still had the energy to go crazy though ^_^ We were literally there like ''sillit purkissa''. Then few people fainted and others helped them to go to the other end of the club. People were fainting even after the gig at the ''narikka'' line o_O
I bought myself a prettyful Dir en grey shirt and some little things.
Now I'm waiting for February. Then I will see Girugämesh. Booyah!
and how was your trip to see MCR? =)
[/Lazy with the hairpics. I will send them to your email in myspace or hotmail. By the way your new hairstyle is cool.]

Wow, for some reason I never thought I would've heard something like that coming out of your mouth O.o haha So yeah, you've convinced me it must've been good =P
"Used" water.lol Sounds cool =D I know what you mean with the "sillit purkissa" feeling when it comes to concert since it was the same when I saw MCR on thursday; I was squuezed in so tightly that i couldn't lift or put my arms down and I was just laughing my ass off xD It was fun and seriously, I never thought I'd say something like that, I think I'd like to get into serious moshpit one day too. Lifting your face towards the ceiling is a good way to get some air, btw. I got few moments where I felt like I was just going to faint and I just stood there, moving my lips because I couldn't sing anymore but you always seem to get the energy back somehow...Crowd wise, I had more fun on thursday than in Helsinki but Helsinki was my first time and nothing can beat that <3 The best part in Germany was when I was headbanging in tune with Frank.haahaa
I didn't buy anything from the gig and I'm so fucking bummed about it right now, the t-shirts were awesome and they don't sell them elsewhere. grrrr. And i didn't get any photos either =/
YAY ^_^ I can't wait until there'll be another MCR gig we can go to; we were already talking about going to Berlin and there's been some talk about Stockholm too because it'd be easy to get there by boat.
You know by now =P Iīll write a blog about the whole thing later on so if you're interested in detailed description, you should read it.lol
[/Saw them, looked awesome ;)]
You know, that's a very good name for those days. My neck was the worst, then my feet but I've had no problems with my voice which I am quite surprised about O.o
Weirdness must run in the family since I'm weird too xD

I'm alright but Mikko isn't. He's in the hospital and was operated last night for what they thought was his appendix, but apparently it was something else wrong with his intestines. I don't know exactly what yet, I suppose I'll go see him today because they're keeping him at least till tomorrow. I did visit him yesterday before the operation.

There was something wrong with his small intestine and they removed a part of it. The operation was quite sudden (the same day he went to see a doctor) but that's normal with appendix. They took away the appendix too since you don't need it even though it was fine. The pathology results might take two weeks so we won't really know before then.
I did go see him today too, brought him his toothbrush and other things. I'll go see him tomorrow again, they're keeping him at least over the weekend. I suppose to see how his intestines start working. I hate not knowing, it makes me worry. =(

Yeah, I know getting your appendix removed doesn't really affect you since you don't really need it but i need to check out the dictionary for "intestine". How is he doing? Has he gotten home yet? I really hope the pathology results won't show something serious =( My dad got "tyrä" removed from both sides over a month ago and it would seem the other one has come back, he's having quite severe symptoms if you ask me but you know men, they won't go to the doctor until they really have to -____-

Intestine=suoli. Small-ohut, large-paksu.
Apparently there was just a rather nasty infection, which should be cured now that they removed that part and he got medication for it too. He is doing much better, almost back to normal I'd say. He still has sick leave this week. He's skinny even normally but now he lost 5kg and only weighed 65kg with shoes and jeans on. 8|

Apparently this agreement ended up being only 5 more than the initial offer TEHY rejected earlier this fall. A bit stupid, I think. I definitely understand and agree that they deserve to be paid better, the job is so important and quite demanding. But I do think they used too extreme methods to get there.

You knew I wouldn't remember to check the dictionary for those, didnīt you?=P I'm glad to hear he's doing much better and it didn't turn out to be more than an infection although I'm sure that was bad enough for him. You better make sure that he'll gain back the weight he lost on christmas :p Have you started with presents or anything yet?
He didn't go to the doctor about it and he still says it stings but he can work so...It's up to him really. I think it's pretty weird that they operated both of his sides at the same time O.o
CAR. Not cars.lol I didn't really have any speed so I only scratched the car a bit but it might that I'll have to pay for a damage she had in her car from before, a "lommo". My dad went to have a look at the car and he said I didn't do that and he knows an awful a lot about cars so I believe him. I went over to my insurance company to make a report and they told me to do nothing and just wait until they contact me again so that's what I'm currently doing. I think it's pretty funny that if I wouldn't have gone to look for the owner of the car, she propably wouldn't have even noticed anything had happened to it -___-

I agree. I do think also that they deserve to be payed more for their work but I also feel like they got a bit too greedy. There's plenty of other work groups who don't get to complain and insist to be payed better. They definitely used too drastic ways to get there, personally I think that the fact they even were ready to risk peoples lives to get payed better, is unacceptable. And with only getting a payrise with 5 a month or however it was, I think they just ended up making a fool of theirselves.

Yeah, it would seem so more than often. She said though that she wants to take the whole thing the official way so that there won't be anything to worry about afterwards and I totally understand that. Something like this has never happened before to either of us so we're kind of clueless, you know.
I just can't help myself stressing over the whole thing since they haven't contacted me from the insurance company yet =/ The kind of funny thing is that although my insurance will cover it, it will be cheaper for me to pay the money back to them.

Yeah, hadnīt I told you I would?O.o Because I thought I did =| Anyways, it was great as in theyīre an awesome live band but it didnīt really feel like anything special which I guess is because Iīm not a fan anymore. It wouldīve been a huge deal 2-3 years ago. The crowd was amazing though, singing along the WHOLE time and even I found myself remembering most of the lyrics still :p Chester even had his kid on the stage during "in the end" and we sang "Happy Birthday" for Rob since it was his birthday =P I was more excited about seeing their warm up band, our very own finnish Disco Ensemble but we had such bad spots on the crowd that we could only HEAR them -___- oh well, i had seen them 3 times before sunday anyways and I know theyīre awesome. Iīve been wanting to listen to LP the whole day today, it feels weird. haha Iīll try to get the pics uploaded soon-ish, Iīll be posting the link afterwards anyways =)
While I was away my whole family has been ill and it would really seem like Iīm well on my way getting sick aswell; my stomach has been twisting all day, I burp a lot, feel dizzy and nauseous. Ewww.
But tell me about you! Howīs things with you?
Edit: I uploded pictures from the concert and from the trip to Germany on my myspace profile, theyīre both in separate files.

I think you mentioned you're planning on going if it works out. I'm glad it did, even if I am soooooooooooo jealous. =P
Which one? >.>
I looked at the photos, one of Joe said "Mike Shinoda" Change it now! Looks like you weren't very far, but the conditions for photos are never great at concerts, unfortunately.
I can so imagine LP being a great live band. I think I'd be pretty fucking excited seeing them, even though my fanness has subdued quite a bit with the years.
Doesn't sound too nice, hope you won't get "oksennustauti". I've been well. *knocks wood*
I'm alright. The horrible essay is going better than previous times, but I still have a lot to do. I also have a plan what to do after that (I should finish the essay by end of May) but I'll talk about that when the time comes...
I got back in contact with an old friend a couple of weeks ago, which is great and I'm really happy about that. She's Canadian, living in England and we met during our exchange year in Switzerland. I've met her once since, at another friend's wedding in 2005.
Tomorrow is Mikko's birthday, 29. But he doesn't really celebrate and he'll be away on a business trip anyway. =/ We're going to my mom's next weekend though for a hapkido camp. Lot's to do because of that camp because people can test for new belts there and this time 11 from Turku will take a test. They're almost all going for different belts too so we had to organize 5 different pre-gradings (kenraalivyökoe) this week. You have to pass the pre-grading for your own teacher before you can go to the actual grading. This way we make sure they know what's needed and they don't embarrass us in front of everyone. =P
Mikko and I will also be teaching at that camp, like almost all of the active black belts. This is the biggest seminar of the year and there will be people from all over Finland.

Awww, Iīm sorry :( I actually started to feel rather quilty about it when I got to go and Iīm not even a fan anymore...There's other people, fans who wouldīve deserved it more than me. I actually bought a stuffed reindeer and wrote "Come to Finland!" to the shirt it was wearing and put a note with it with links to a petition and to the "Finland" thread here but unfortunately, we were too far from the stage ate every point that I couldīve thrown it on stage. Iīll be pretty surprised though if they donīt come to Finland this year or something, their album was #1 here and everything O.o
Donīt ask me, I donīt really keep myself up-to-date with this stuff anymore =P I assume it was the youngest one, Iīd say he was 2 years old. 3 at max. There should be pictures floating around of it somewhere. We were pretty far actually, zoom is your friend ;D We managed to get forward during LP but they had this barricade in the MIDDLE of the crowd with security guys in there so there was no way going through it. I posted a blog on my myspace about the concert and trip so if youīre interested, you can read more about it there :)
Wow O.o I didnīt realise Iīm starting to forget everything THIS bad. If LP was to come to Finland, Iīm pretty sure Iīd still go to see them. I still have many things to be grateful for them for; I wouldīve never got in contact with you and all the other amazing people I made because of them and who I still talk to. They were also the band who got me majorly into music.
I think I had a slight "oksennustauti", I only had to throw up once and I had some...diarrhea.haha I was feeling fine on saturday night and on sunday but then, on sunday evening I started feeling really dizzy O.o If I moved my head even a little, it felt like I would faint. It lasted for a couple of days. I also felt like I had the fever but when i measured my temperature, I had actually "alilämpöä". Today was the first time I went to work after the weekend and talking about work, my boss said today they will definitely keep hiring me ^_^ Awesome, money-saving vise. She couldnīt even tell me for how long Iīd be working there xD
Okay but just so you know, you have made me very curious! Iīm glad to hear youīve got started with the essay and youīve got 4 months left to visit so thereīs plenty of time =) Try to remember that youīve already got started so you CAN`T drop it now! You can do it ^_^
Awww, itīs always great getting back in contact with people you havenīt talked for a while and possibly even though would never talk to again. yup =)
Wow, you two will be busy at the camp but good luck with everything and have fun =P Did you get anything for Mikko for his birthday? Itīs my dads birthday on friday and weīre suppsoed to go looking for something for him tomorrow...Not too excited about that because heīs ALWAYS the most difficult one to figure out with this kind of stuff =(
Oh and, is it okay if I donīt reply to that e-mail of yours? Since we get to talk here again? Feels kind of stupid to talk about christmas since it was such a long time =P Let me know again though if the boards stop working for you please :o

I doubt they will come. Cute idea that reideer though. :p
Must've been the youngest one, Jaimie or something I think. With Talinda. It's strange how fast time goes.
Congrats on the job thing! I need more shifts but at the same time I don't want to. -.- I suppose I'll get something this week, although my back has been so sore that I can't take any shelving, only check-out work.
The camp was alright. I was too tired to do my best at the instructing, but the times I got to practice my own stuff was good. Even though I was so tired I couldn't really do them properly and forgot alot right away, but at least now I've done all of them at least once so it's easier to practice on my own now.
I didn't get Mikko anyhting, he said he didn't want anything and he doesn't really celebrate either. Besides, he was away for business on his birthday.
Sure. =P I don't even remember what I wrote to you.

They fucking suck if they donīt. I know the band doesnīt mainly get to decide which places they go to but when you consider how big Linkin Park is, I do believe they have a say in it. And yes, Mr. Reindeer rules and he was very disappointed he didnīt get to fillful his mission :( But Iīm keeping him for future reference ;)

Thereīs this spot on the side of my neck that when i press it, it hurts. But we have this lotion or whatever, that has actual painkillers in it, itīs called "Voltaren", you ever tried it? Talking about work, remember how I got into that job interview for "Lidl"? I went there the other day and one of my friends who got a job from there told me that she had been hired as a permanent O.o she had also gotten engaged, it was a flood of news really from her =P
Awwww, hope youīll be more..."Srengthy" next time :p

You know, I think photos of the band members family are forbidden. >.>
I wonder who had the bright idea to put that right in the middle.
I did work last friday and today. Checkout. It was alright, didn't mess up anything. Both were new places to me though so I had to adjust _again_ but it's alright. At least I get to explore the city since I work all over. There's a ferry called Föri in Turku that crosses the river and I've never actually even seen it really. But today's work place was just next to the Föri. I thought of taking it (it's free) just to try it out, but then I didn't because the bus I was waiting for just came. I could've taken a bus from the other side of the river too, so I regretted not taking the ferry a bit afterwards. But I'll definitely take it if I work that place again.
I haven't tried Voltaren, but I've used other similar to it. My backaches are nerve-related though, and not muscle so creams like that don't help too much. I have "tulehduskipulääke" pills for it.
I didn't get him a real present, but he had talked about wanting to get a "lihansyöjäkasvi" to kill off bananaflies from his apartment, and I accidentally found a flower shop that had them so I bought one for him. The bananaflies seem to be too small for the plant to eat though. =P

Well, I guess with that big of a crowd, itīs necessary to have one of those to quarantee everyones safety.
Why do you have to wait if you get to work near it again to use it? Is it far away? Iīm quite like that too with stuff, Iīd like to do it but I dontīand then I regret it =P Iīve been thinking how cool it would be to go over to "Tammisaari" to visit our relatieves with my family and then go to Helsinki together to go to Korkeasaari, you need to use a ferry to get there also. Have you ever been there?
Oh, I see =/ My wrists are all fucked up, well the other one is worse. They ache from time to time pretty bad, I fell down some years ago and took the fall with my hands so Iīm thinking maybe thereīs a small facture that has "luutunut" wrong. If thatīs the case, nothing can be done to it. Iīve been to the doctor about it once and he told me to come back if it keeps on bothering me but the hospital here sucks so I havenīt. Some of my fingers also go numb every now and then for a bit. Thereīs also something wrong with my ear, it keeps blocking and unblocking itself. Then, of course the back of my neck and the shoulders which I think were the reason for my headache today that went all the way to my jaw O.o

It is a bit far away from where I live. It's not that far from the city center, but there aren't any shops around there so I hardly ever go there. The only thing that is close to it is työkkäri.
I've been to Korkeasaari, but I was a baby so I know noting about it. I'd like to go, although I don't really like the idea of caged animals.
Ow, that sounds painful. Doctors do suck, you need to demand treatment and examinations. I think those neck and shoulder pains you're having sound like some physiotherapy would do you good. I suggest you go see a doctor and ask for a "lähete" to a physiotherapist. They know what kind of exercises you need to do better than a "yleislääkäri" does.
I've had similar trouble with my ears too. Haven't had that for a couple of years now *knocks wood*, but my ears used to "narista" which was really annoying, kind of like tinnitus.

No we didn't. I don't really care about Valentine's Day myself and he said straight out last year that he doesn't celebrate "stuff like that". =P I didn't even remember to send cards or sms any friends this year...

Thanks for the tip but the thing is that even if the physiotherapist would give me exercises, Iīd propably never do them so I should pretty much just stop complaining I guess since I could easy it up myself although I think theyīre so jammed that itīs too late to start any exercises now, they wonīt help. I suck :(
i think my ears develope more wax than average, I got them cleaned up by a nurse at the hospital before christmas and I think theyīre just full of it again. I bought this spray that you put in your ear and it should clean off the wax, it would seem like itīs working too :)
Whoa O.o The mouths or whatever kind of look like these hair clip thingies.haha It was my brother actually who said that since he happened to see the picture when I opened it =P Talking about my brother, this band heīs in is going to have their first gig next week ^_^
Me neither, I just replied to a couple of messages and thatīs it. You know, it will make it more special if you just say "I love you" out of the blue or do something special for someone instead of doing it on some particular day when heīs expecting it. The idea of a valentines day is great but sadly, it has been made into a day for some corporatiosn to make more cash.

Well well well! I seriously never thought this would actually happen.
You have got to come, you just have to Tiina! I mean it! This is a one time opportunity. For me at least, you've already seen them. =P
I don't think I could get anyone else to go with me and going alone would suck so you just have to come along!
Of course there's always the matter of getting off work for that day and saving money to go.
Thanks for letting me know! I never listen to the radio or read entertainment news. I suppose I should...

Well I'm definitely going if I can just get money for it. I'd most likely only stay for one day. I wonder what the one-day tickets cost?
You're right about finding out about hotels well before. I wouldn't mind a tent, but I think my back would mind... =P Hotel would be safer too, not so big a risk to have everything stolen.

Weīll find the money somehow so itīs settled then? That weīre going? I donīt think they have the ticket prices up on the site yet but if 3 day ticket costs 95 euros...Iīd say it will be between 30-40 euros. or maybe even a little over 40 for friday because it depends of the day you go aswell.
We stayed in a tent back in 2005 with Liz and it was hell with all the drunken darfs staying up all night and harassing you so thatīs why Iīm saying no thanks to a tent :p it was also possible to stay at a school or something for a pretty cheap price. I'm sure I'll be able to afford a one-day ticket. We'll need to book a hotel or something early. You've been to Provinssi before, so you know the arrangemenst and stuff a little better? I have only been once on a festival (Raumanmeren juhannus) several years ago. I've never even been to Seinäjoki.
We slept in a tent at Rauma. It would've been alright if it hadn't rained for 2 days straight. It was rather wet... There was 8 of us - 4 girls in two two-man tents and 4 boys in one larger tent. The smaller tents couldn't stand water so we crashed in the boys tent. It got rather humid in there too with 8 people.... :p
I won't be watching any more television from now on. The analogue sendings ended this morning and I have no digi box. =/

What Makes Finnish Kids So Smart?
Finland's teens score extraordinarily high on an international test. American educators are trying to figure out why.
High-school students here rarely get more than a half-hour of homework a night. They have no school uniforms, no honor societies, no valedictorians, no tardy bells and no classes for the gifted. There is little standardized testing, few parents agonize over college and kids don't start school until age 7.
Yet by one international measure, Finnish teenagers are among the smartest in the world. They earned some of the top scores by 15-year-old students who were tested in 57 countries. American teens finished among the world's C students even as U.S. educators piled on more homework, standards and rules. Finnish youth, like their U.S. counterparts, also waste hours online. They dye their hair, love sarcasm and listen to rap and heavy metal. But by ninth grade they're way ahead in math, science and reading -- on track to keeping Finns among the world's most productive workers.
Finland's students are the brightest in the world, according to an international test. Teachers say extra playtime is one reason for the students' success. WSJ's Ellen Gamerman reports.
The Finns won attention with their performances in triennial tests sponsored by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, a group funded by 30 countries that monitors social and economic trends. In the most recent test, which focused on science, Finland's students placed first in science and near the top in math and reading, according to results released late last year. An unofficial tally of Finland's combined scores puts it in first place overall, says Andreas Schleicher, who directs the OECD's test, known as the Programme for International Student Assessment, or PISA. The U.S. placed in the middle of the pack in math and science; its reading scores were tossed because of a glitch. About 400,000 students around the world answered multiple-choice questions and essays on the test that measured critical thinking and the application of knowledge. A typical subject: Discuss the artistic value of graffiti.
The academic prowess of Finland's students has lured educators from more than 50 countries in recent years to learn the country's secret, including an official from the U.S. Department of Education. What they find is simple but not easy: well-trained teachers and responsible children. Early on, kids do a lot without adults hovering. And teachers create lessons to fit their students. "We don't have oil or other riches. Knowledge is the thing Finnish people have," says Hannele Frantsi, a school principal.
Visitors and teacher trainees can peek at how it's done from a viewing balcony perched over a classroom at the Norssi School in Jyväskylä, a city in central Finland. What they see is a relaxed, back-to-basics approach. The school, which is a model campus, has no sports teams, marching bands or prom.
Trailing 15-year-old Fanny Salo at Norssi gives a glimpse of the no-frills curriculum. Fanny is a bubbly ninth-grader who loves "Gossip Girl" books, the TV show "Desperate Housewives" and digging through the clothing racks at H&M stores with her friends.
Fanny earns straight A's, and with no gifted classes she sometimes doodles in her journal while waiting for others to catch up. She often helps lagging classmates. "It's fun to have time to relax a little in the middle of class," Fanny says. Finnish educators believe they get better overall results by concentrating on weaker students rather than by pushing gifted students ahead of everyone else. The idea is that bright students can help average ones without harming their own progress.
At lunch, Fanny and her friends leave campus to buy salmiakki, a salty licorice. They return for physics, where class starts when everyone quiets down. Teachers and students address each other by first names. About the only classroom rules are no cellphones, no iPods and no hats.
Do you think any of these Finnish methods would work in U.S. schools? What would you change -- if anything -- about the U.S. school system, and the responsibilities that teachers, parents and students are given? Share your thoughts.
Fanny's more rebellious classmates dye their blond hair black or sport pink dreadlocks. Others wear tank tops and stilettos to look tough in the chilly climate. Tanning lotions are popular in one clique. Teens sift by style, including "fruittari," or preppies; "hoppari," or hip-hop, or the confounding "fruittari-hoppari," which fuses both. Ask an obvious question and you may hear "KVG," short for "Check it on Google, you idiot." Heavy-metal fans listen to Nightwish, a Finnish band, and teens socialize online at irc-galleria.net.
The Norssi School is run like a teaching hospital, with about 800 teacher trainees each year. Graduate students work with kids while instructors evaluate from the sidelines. Teachers must hold master's degrees, and the profession is highly competitive: More than 40 people may apply for a single job. Their salaries are similar to those of U.S. teachers, but they generally have more freedom.
Finnish teachers pick books and customize lessons as they shape students to national standards. "In most countries, education feels like a car factory. In Finland, the teachers are the entrepreneurs," says Mr. Schleicher, of the Paris-based OECD, which began the international student test in 2000.
One explanation for the Finns' success is their love of reading. Parents of newborns receive a government-paid gift pack that includes a picture book. Some libraries are attached to shopping malls, and a book bus travels to more remote neighborhoods like a Good Humor truck.
Finland shares its language with no other country, and even the most popular English-language books are translated here long after they are first published. Many children struggled to read the last Harry Potter book in English because they feared they would hear about the ending before it arrived in Finnish. Movies and TV shows have Finnish subtitles instead of dubbing. One college student says she became a fast reader as a child because she was hooked on the 1990s show "Beverly Hills, 90210."
In November, a U.S. delegation visited, hoping to learn how Scandinavian educators used technology. Officials from the Education Department, the National Education Association and the American Association of School Librarians saw Finnish teachers with chalkboards instead of whiteboards, and lessons shown on overhead projectors instead of PowerPoint. Keith Krueger was less impressed by the technology than by the good teaching he saw. "You kind of wonder how could our country get to that?" says Mr. Krueger, CEO of the Consortium for School Networking, an association of school technology officers that organized the trip.
Finnish high-school senior Elina Lamponen saw the differences firsthand. She spent a year at Colon High School in Colon, Mich., where strict rules didn't translate into tougher lessons or dedicated students, Ms. Lamponen says. She would ask students whether they did their homework. They would reply: " 'Nah. So what'd you do last night?'" she recalls. History tests were often multiple choice. The rare essay question, she says, allowed very little space in which to write. In-class projects were largely "glue this to the poster for an hour," she says. Her Finnish high school forced Ms. Lamponen, a spiky-haired 19-year-old, to repeat the year when she returned.
Lloyd Kirby, superintendent of Colon Community Schools in southern Michigan, says foreign students are told to ask for extra work if they find classes too easy. He says he is trying to make his schools more rigorous by asking parents to demand more from their children.
Despite the apparent simplicity of Finnish education, it would be tough to replicate in the U.S. With a largely homogeneous population, teachers have few students who don't speak Finnish. In the U.S., about 8% of students are learning English, according to the Education Department. There are fewer disparities in education and income levels among Finns. Finland separates students for the last three years of high school based on grades; 53% go to high school and the rest enter vocational school. (All 15-year-old students took the PISA test.) Finland has a high-school dropout rate of about 4% -- or 10% at vocational schools -- compared with roughly 25% in the U.S., according to their respective education departments.
Another difference is financial. Each school year, the U.S. spends an average of $8,700 per student, while the Finns spend $7,500. Finland's high-tax government provides roughly equal per-pupil funding, unlike the disparities between Beverly Hills public schools, for example, and schools in poorer districts. The gap between Finland's best- and worst-performing schools was the smallest of any country in the PISA testing. The U.S. ranks about average.
Finnish students have little angstata -- or teen angst -- about getting into the best university, and no worries about paying for it. College is free. There is competition for college based on academic specialties -- medical school, for instance. But even the best universities don't have the elite status of a Harvard.
Taking away the competition of getting into the "right schools" allows Finnish children to enjoy a less-pressured childhood. While many U.S. parents worry about enrolling their toddlers in academically oriented preschools, the Finns don't begin school until age 7, a year later than most U.S. first-graders.

Once school starts, the Finns are more self-reliant. While some U.S. parents fuss over accompanying their children to and from school, and arrange every play date and outing, young Finns do much more on their own. At the Ymmersta School in a nearby Helsinki suburb, some first-grade students trudge to school through a stand of evergreens in near darkness. At lunch, they pick out their own meals, which all schools give free, and carry the trays to lunch tables. There is no Internet filter in the school library. They can walk in their socks during class, but at home even the very young are expected to lace up their own skates or put on their own skis.
The Finns enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the world, but they, too, worry about falling behind in the shifting global economy. They rely on electronics and telecommunications companies, such as Finnish cellphone giant Nokia, along with forest-products and mining industries for jobs. Some educators say Finland needs to fast-track its brightest students the way the U.S. does, with gifted programs aimed at producing more go-getters. Parents also are getting pushier about special attention for their children, says Tapio Erma, principal of the suburban Olari School. "We are more and more aware of American-style parents," he says.
Mr. Erma's school is a showcase campus. Last summer, at a conference in Peru, he spoke about adopting Finnish teaching methods. During a recent afternoon in one of his school's advanced math courses, a high-school boy fell asleep at his desk. The teacher didn't disturb him, instead calling on others. While napping in class isn't condoned, Mr. Erma says, "We just have to accept the fact that they're kids and they're learning how to live."

I was talking about that they will put the digital signal in the analogue system later on so you wont need a specific thing to translate the signal for your tv. Something that it will all go through broadband or something like that. It will be like it was before, you just plug the TV into the antenna and you can watch TV. In a couple of years the whole digibox/digitelevision will be useless really.
The finnish govemerment did it all too fast really, the digital technology was pretty much old-fashioned before we here in Finland started with it.
I study at a Information technology university and a lot of the people there have told me this.

In a couple of years the whole digibox/digitelevision will be useless really.
Really? Well doesn't that suck majorly.
I don't think I'll be getting a digibox. All I really miss about TV is news and documentaries and "ajankohtaisohjelmat".

Yup, yesterday it was...But thanks anyways ^_-
Good for you, as I wrote in the message Iīm going to wait until they announce more bands to decide if I want to stay more than just the friday but Iīm kind of worried if the friday will sell out although I donīt really think so.
You're getting ollllldddd. :D
Anything interesting popped up yet? I haven't been following the situation since I bought my ticket... Do you think you'll be staying for two days though? Because I thought I could manage without a hotel room since LP is headlining and they'll probably start playing rather late, so I could just spend the rest of the night at the train station and take an early train home. Unless you're staying the night, then I could share the room/crash there if you're sharing with Liz if she's coming, then spend the morning with you and then leave.
I don't know if my friend will be coming. Somehow I doubt it... =/

Last weekend you could see lots of channels with digibox, even Animal Planet <333 :p It was pretty handy for this time around since we even got to see a channel that just happened to show a live show thingie with MCR ^_^
Oh and youīve heard about "Yleareena", right? I donīt know how much stuff they show there since Iīve never checked it out but Iīve heard you can watch a lot of stuff that they show on YLEīs kanavat on the internet too :)

Well I certainly donīt feel like it =P
Billy Talent is the only one this far that Iīd go to see out of the ones they have announced by now but theyīre not the kind of band who Iīd stay for an extra day so Iīm afraid theyīll have to do better than that ;D I asked if I could have a day off on the 13th of june and I didnīt really get an answer for that since apparently someone will be having their long summer vacation but if it becomes necessary, Iīll be "sick" then =P
Ok, hereīs the deal; if it should be that I wonīt stay for more than just the friday either, then Iīll come over to the train station for the night aswell. And if not, I just gotta hope I can lure Liz to stay with me IF she even comes because staying all by myself there sounds kind of intimidating =/ Why do you think your friend wouldnīt come though?
Iīm going to see MISFITS next month to Nosturi in Helsinki ^_^ I also got the most awesome band t-shirt EVER today, pics later ;D

Any plans for the weekend, any of you? I have almost no plans. Going to see the hapkido Finnish championships on Saturday, that's all.

I havenīt asked for a day off on the 13th again yet but Iīm definitely coming, no worries =) Itīs also still looking like I wonīt stay longer than the friday but then again, they havenīt announced even nearly all of their artists yet. I havenīt bought my ticket yet either, obviously.
Iīm working tomorrow and then I have 3 days off ^_^ Iīll propably just be relaxing and hopefully meeting up with a friend of mine who has come home for easter. We were supposed to go to this band even together but she canīt go after all so...Traditionally, weīll visit "Majakka" for french frieds with chili sauce :p

I worked yesterday and the day before. Got up at 5am both mornings. I didn't sleep too well last night either, so I'm pretty tired now too.
I'll be spending the weekend at Mikko's so I doubt I'll be online. I'd have to bring my laptop with me because I don't remember my password to the lpmb...

Itīs soon like a year since the last time I was ABLE TO donate because we havenīt got the traveling blood donation thingie here ever since :( They have an office in Rovaniemi but itīs still too far away to be visited regularly. I'm just too lazy. =P
Most of them I don't even know...
How was your Easter? Mine was quiet and rather boring. Saturday and the hapkido contest was alrght and I ate some chocolate eggs too. Yesterday Mikko and I had coffee at his parents.
You should stop by at the blood donation place every time you go to Rovaniemi. Or at least next time you're going so you can find out if your blood is still good enough. I don't think vegetarianism in itself prevents you from donating. I think you just need to eat helthy enough so donating won't be a danger to you.

Hahah! How's it looking with your ticket?
What's American Psycho like? I haven't read anything new lately, but I did watch Hannibal Rising one night. I'd read the book last summer (I think?) and quite liked it. Now I rented the movie version and was quite pleased with it. The lead actor was pretty good in it. The screenplay had been done by the author Thomas Harris, so the movie was quite true to the book, which I liked.
You should eat lots of beans. They're rich in protein. And lots of different kinds of vegetables and fruit as well to get all the different good ... "stuff" ... they have. I don't know what it's called, flavonoids?
What did you do to it? Or what did the hairdresser do...?

Havenīt bought it yet, still waiting for them to announce the rest of the bands. "Bring me the horizon" are going to play at a festival in Stockholm and I wanna go so bad and I propably will but I have no one to go with and Iīm quite apparehensive about going all by myself =/ Iīd need to use the buss and the train there in order to get to the festival area, I know where to go with the train and where to continue with the buss but still... Itīs going to suck so much if I donīt get to go because I know that I will regret it if I donīt because they were so close. I just e-mailed my friend in Norway though, if she could come to Stockholm and go with me because I donīt think itīd be that expensive for her to fly there from Norway. Would be our first time to meet aswell.
"Hannibal Rising" definitely goes to the list of movies Iīd need to see, I borrowed the book from the library once but never got around reading it =/ "American Psycho" is...I liked it a lot but the way he killed people in the book was just so fucked up, what he did to them. And now Iīm kinda afraid to watch the movie which I also bought xP Iīll definitely try to get to read more by why wrote that book.(Brett Easton Ellis) Now Iīm reading a book by a drug abuser called "Drug Station Zoo". I donīt know why but Iīve always been really interested of stories about drug abuse.
Might be >.< I have no idea although I propably should. I donīt think Iīve been really eating any "monipuolisemmin" ever since I stopped eating meat but I feel just fine. I pop vitamins though. Which reminds me, have you heard that the prices of groceries are going to get even higher? Iīm seriously getting worried about where this is going :(
I got it cut so that the other side is very short and the other side is much longer, it has also been cut from behind so that it looks really cool; "vinoon". Same with the front aswell. I also got it dyed this dark brown kind of color on the top and purple-ish underneath. I quite like but itīs difficult to get a picture of it so that you could see the hair well.

Well mainly I hate the fact that I have to sign in here every single time, and the new boards send me back to the main page instead of to where I was when I clicked the "sign in" thing (like the old boards used to). Lame reason, yeah, but it's just one of the things that I really dislike about this new layout.
I have been busy working though - I most unusually got like 5 shifts in advance.
Never heard of Bring me the horizon. Sounds like a good plan though to go see them and meet your Norwegian friend too. I hope it works out for you. =)
I'd like to go to Stockholm to see a friend of mine who lives there. But I don't have the money. I'd love to go shopping there too, even though there isn't anything I'd need to buy really. =P
I haven't read anything new for ages because I've been re-reading Harry Potter from the beginning. I just finished book 6 last night and started book 7. I've read all of them back to back to keep the story going.
Oh, well I did read "Armoa tuntematta" by Tom Clancy (I think...) because Mikko told me to. He loves those books. It was quite good, although the military bits were a bit boring. Now I'm reading "Näkymätön vihollinen" by the same author. That's the movie with Harrison Ford.
No I haven't heard that about food prices... I don't really think about that because there's nothing I can do about it. I have thought of "dyykkaaminen", because it's horrible how much perfectly good food goes to waste. But I wouldn't know how to do it or where to find food. I suppose at first you'd need to go with someone who's done it before. Although, at least Valintatalo and Siwa where I've worked separate bio waste from everything else, so you couldn't take the good bread and vegetables becuase it gets mixed in with those that really are rotten or mouldy. And the wastebins are indoors.
This made me want to make vegetarian food again! There's a really good recipe in the book I have - I could email it to you. You can easily make it with chicken too (which is what I did for Mikko... =)
Sounds cool. Just take several pictures from different angles and post them all here! :D My hair is of perfect length right now, which means in a week or so it'll be too long. =/ I'd kinda like to dye it, but I don't know what. Black is boring but dark brown doesn't really show since my hair is already rather dark. Besides, it's a waste of the little money I have.
Another thing to dislike about the boards is that it'll have signed me out while I've been writing this post! *curses it*

Aww, thanks a lot! She replied last night with "I donīt know." pretty much. She already has something planned for the time but she said sheīll think about, I have a feeling sheīll say no though which is disappointing but understandable. I think I should just book the flight tickets and go because Iīm pretty sure Iīll make it since I know where to go with the train and busses but the thing is, I almost got a reservation to this cheap hostel right next to the railway, buss station but then I got an e-mail saying theyīre fully booked so now Iīm considering to to take a cab or something from Stockholm to the airport after the festival and spend the night at the airport somehow. None of that I can tell my mom though because sheīd never let me go, she didntīreally like the thought of me going alone so Iīve been thinking about telling her(okay, lying) that Iīm going with someone. "Näkymätön Vihollinen" sounds familiar, propably because thereīs a movie made of it. I borrowed three books from the library so Iīll propably start reading one of them after finishing the book about drug abuse today.
I see, thereīs already been riots about that in several countries; mainly in Africa and such. I think itīs horrible how the people who supply poor people with food now have to tell them that they are only getting like half of what they got last month :( A litre of milk will soon cost an euro, poorer people wonīt soon be even able to afford milk and then people will start getting sick and stuff. Itīs like weīre going back in history.
Oooh yammy. Seriously though, I donīt think "dyykkaaminen" is disgusting if you know where to look for the food because as you said, itīs amazing what amounts of food get wasted.
Please do ^_^ I hardly ever get to cook anything myself because I donīt have the time during the week or then Iīm too lazy so I eat "valmisruokaa" mostly or then mom brings something from the school but they always make the same damn stuff -____- Mostly I just make myself something during the weekend.

I'm also fascinated by those kinds of things, how is it?
Recently I bought the "Requiem For A Dream" book which is also about drug abuse and addictions. I'm such a big fan of the movie so I'm sure it will be interesting to read the book also.
There are many interesting documentaries here that you can watch about the topic of drug use:

I donīt know, the fact that itīs from the 70s propably doesnīt have anything to do with it but it wasnīt as good as some other books Iīve read on the subject. I borrowed one from a library on monday called "A scanner darkly" which is about a drug abuser who has a split personality; heīs a drug abuser and a drug police in disguise, watching himself.

Iīm wearing this (http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/8473/sharrrrkrawwwrln9.jpg) amazing t-shirt =P
That roll didn't last long. =P
No, but actually getting close to... There's still quite a bit to do, but I'm hopeful.
That reminds me... Valintatalo will start "välittää" laundry for "Vistan pesula", which only means more work and more to learn for me. -.- I don't understand why on earth the stores want to take on extra trouble when the staff is rather busy with the work as it is.
Haven't got round to listening to that yet. I'd like to go to Stockholm just cause it would be a change, but meh, money issue.
I've ended up cooking almost everything lately with Mikko doing nothing... -.- He used to cook more, now he's gotten really lazy. He makes killer "makaronilaatikko" though.
I've had bluish black but I don't want that anymore. I had "tumma luumu" once too. It was sort of dark brown with some purple.
Your hair isn't what I imagined it from your discription but that pic really is blurry. I imagined it to be shorter, that pic just looks like you have a ponytail and the hair is coming out on one side. =P
I need new clothes...

No, it didnīt xD
Good! And keep that hope up my friend and youīll make it for sure =) Is there a deadline for it anymore?
Money I suppose. Although Iīm not sure if thatīs it for "Valintatalo" since itīs a rather big grocery store chain but thatīs the answer for a "yksityisyrittäjä" at least for sure which is who I work for. Perhaps I was exaggurating by saying that we hardly survive with the amount of work we get now but I do think thereīs enough to do already, seeing that we all do more work than would fit for just one person.
Well it didnīt work out for me either =/ Birte will possibly go to a festival in Germany in june with me where they play but I doubt thatīll happen either so I guess I just somehow need to make it until they play in Sheffield, UK since my friend lives there and has promised to go with me already =P The band itself is from there aswell so it would be pretty damn special to get to see them in their hometown. And itīs okay if you havenīt listened to them, I donīt think youīd like them anyway xD
Oh my, youīve spoiled him, havenīt you?=P
Thatīs basically how it looks like then I suppose :p
Iīm pretty good when it comes to clothes but Iīve totally equipped myself with bad shirts lately pretty well O.o Iīd love to buy skinny jeans in some cool colour though like pink or yellow.haha

Awwww,no I wonīt! I think thereīs also some really cheap ones. Oh and are you going to wear a LP t-shirt ? =P
Tsk tsk. Iīm gonna buy mine on friday or next week, my train to Rovaniemi on saturday leaves around 1.30PM; Iīll only go to Rovaniemi and have dad pick me up from there because if I came all the way to Kemijärvi, the train wouldnīt leave back until after midnight. I had a look for the times for Seinäjoki-Turku and the earliest train on the saturday leaves about an hour later than mine. They announced more performers, including Disco Ensemble but theyīll play on sunday =/ Itīs okay though since iīll see them next month anyway ^_^

I wouldn't mind some folded chairs. Although my back is rather picky and gets sore from most chairs. I need a back rest... =P
No, I will not be wearing a LP-shirt. I have no idea what I'll wear though.. probably whatever I wear every day. I think I might come up with something LP related though, something small.
You mean your train from Seinäjoki to Rovaniemi leaves at 1.30pm? There are lots of trains to Turku before that, as far as I know. Though I think it would be cool to hang around together, at least if the weather is nice. If we're really tired we could go and sleep in some park. :D Put all our stuff in a locker at the station and take a nap under a tree.
Since there probably are less train choises for you, I suggest you buy your tickets and let me know the times, and then I'll get tickets to match that as closely as possible. Sound good?

Well, then you should get one of those too! If you decide to get a folding chair for yourself. I think it would be a problem where to put it during LP though...They should sell them close to summer at least. I think Iīll just settle with a plastic bag or something because the only thing I really care for is to keep my ass clean =P
Yeah, most of my LP shirts are stored somewhere but I think I have a couple in my wardrobe. Old ones too =P I have the hoodie but I think itīs gonna be too hot to wear. Especially if itīs sunny.
Yeeeeah, letīs play bums together xD Iīve been thinking too, that it would be cool to just hang out like...If itīs not a long way from the train station to the festival area, maybe we could walk back to the station after LP has played? Or maybe itīs not safe, I donīt know. It would be cool to stay up the whole night though =P
Ah well, you propably know the train for you that go to Turku better than me =P
Perfect! I got my tickets yesterday and my train leaves back at 1.31PM on saturday :)
The schedule for the bands is up at the Provinssi page now btw and LP will be playing at 22.30, on the main stage. The next band isnīt up until 1AM after them but at festivals thereīs usually an hour between bands so they can change the equipment and stuff so I think itīs closer to an hour and a half that LP will play.

I haven't gotten my papers yet and I don't know when I'll get them, but I've done all the courses ans other mandatory things so I'm done. I'm just waiting to get the grade for the essay and a pass on the language check on it.
A friend of mine is graduating too and we're going to celebrate by going for "pussikalja" for old times sake. =P
It's about the translation process of the Harry Potter books. She also explains some of the words and names she translated, why she chose to translate them that way and stuff like that. It was really well written too so it was an interesting read.

Cool :) And itīll be just a piece of paper anyways so since you know yourself that youīve graduated, thatīs what matters.
Oh, okay. I think the way in which that kind of book is written is really imnportant because otherwise it would be really dry to read. Talking about reading, I have like 5 books on my night table waiting to be read but I simply donīt have the time and when I do, I donīt have the energy. I also have around 10 movies to watch for the same reason -_____-

I'm just wondering why it's taking them so long to tell me what grade I got on the paper. The language check shouldn't take more than a couple of days either but it's been almost 2 weeks now. The grade on the essay itself is given by my teacher who has already read it several times so I don't see what's taking so long. As for getting the papers - that might take some time because it's the faculty or university or whatever that does those. But I want to know what grade I got!
I started reading another Tom Clancy book, but it's a bit boring. Mikko recommended it to me and said it's the best of them all... -.- I'm also reading "Alkumetsä" by Robert Holdstock but it's a bit boring too. I don't really have any books in mind that I'd like to read right now. But not having anything interesting to read is a little boring.
I've been watching X-files the last couple of days since I bought season 3 dvd box for myself as a birthday present. :D

Iīve got some experience on that and yes, it might take quite a while before you'll receive the papers since they have to go through some office or what who accept and sign them. Or something. As for still not knowing what grade you got, isnīt there any place you could call and ask about it?
Oh so youīre one of those people who manage to be reading several books at once =P Iīm still thinking whether I should take a book with me to Provinssirock to read in the train and whatever....Hmmm. It might become handy also if I need to hang out by myself the whole saturday. Iīve considered buying some TV seriesīs on DVD a few times since theyīre on a discount quite often on CDON.com(where I order most of my DVDīs and CDīs) but I donīt think Iīd never really watch them so thereīs no point to do it really =P

Good to hear that the photos arrived so quickly. I thought it would take at least two days. The lady at the post office asked if I wanted to make it first class so that it would arrive in one day for sure, but I didn't, but it did not seem to matter anyway. Would have only cost more.
Yeah, I admit the photos were pretty good for such a crappy camera. Too bad no sharp pics of Phoenix though. =/

I actually heard at work today that itīs been raining for the past two weeks or something in Oulu; the daughter of one of the women working there lives there. If it makes you feel any better, the weather hasnīt been any better here =P I donīt really mind, itīs one of the coolest things to listen how the rain pounds against the roof...<3
I kinda wish I had the urge to sign up and post there =/

Iīve been thinking about getting one but Iīm kinda against excessive consuming, meaning that I donīt want to buy new things to replace ones that are still perfectly functioning. And how am I to know which songs I really like?=P I mean, the album might have others that I like aside of the ones Iīve heard from the radio.
Iīve got around 200 but I havenīt bought even nearly as many this year.

well i buy all songs that i want from iTunes store. look the song list artistilta josta pidät and then go on myspace or their homepage to check which songs they have added there. usually all good ones.
here is good minigolf course and even Mika Salo was playing there once at the same time when me and my friends were there playing.

Congratulations! How big is the apartment? Because in my books that is still pretty expensive but i suppose we are having much cheaper rents up here than in a place like Helsinki.
I've also found myself an apartment but i'm still waiting to be able to move in because apparently they have to do some painting in there first. The rent is only 229 euros per month and that includes the water aswell so added to that, i'll only have to pay 9 euros for parking space and for electricity every other month. I'll go to sauna at our house which won't be far away so i don't have to pay another 9 euros for that :P

We're allowed to talk about other bands here, right? Well I've started to listen to Rise Against, they're great but when you're used to get information about a band as much as you want and very easily, it now feels a bit... uncertain. On the other hand, it's fun to like a band that's not so well-known.
I've noticed I can't start liking some band only because of their music, the band members' attitudes and interests are the first things to impress me. It's obvious when I don't think like the majority.

Yes, you should. And you did :p haha Good, good.
I actually know Rise Against and have an album by them but I wasnīt really into them for a long time. Itīs definitely easy these days to find information about bands but that doesnīt always mean there was a lot of information about them. I also love it when I find a band that I really like and no one really knows about them, it was so funny back in the days when my friends would come over and have a look at my CDīs and they didn't know any of the bands xD
Yeah I guess but what if there's no information about any of the band members to be impressed over? Music is what gets to me first personally but if I find out that the band is full of assholes or are just really arrogant like "weīre the best band in the world" and shit like that, it tends to take away from the effect of the music aswell. So yeah, I guess Iīm agreeing with you then =P Kinda.

Oooh, itīs a bit bigger than mine. My apartment is 30.5 neliömetriä. I also have "alkovi" so i donīt have a separate bedroom and not a separate kitchen either. I have a lot of stuff bought beforehand and iīm getting a kitchen table + the chairs and a bookshelf from my parents so i wonīt have to buy much since i canīt fit that much into the apartment =P iīve bought myself a bed though which is in teh carage and reserved this lovely, bright red futon from Sotka which I should be getting this week so Iīd better be able to start moving in soon =O
I had to pay 300 euros for "vuokratakuu"- I think Iīll go and visit the apartment agency again tomorrow and ask why itīs taking so long -____-

I have my last kirjoitus exam on wednesday, so pretty close to freedom. Itīs getting hared to concentrate now.. So.. anyone interested on Papa Roachīs upcoming album, should be out soon..? or how about Velvet Revolver? I know they got a new singer nowadays and all, but I got both of their albums with Scott and got really into them.

Ah yeah, the waiting is propably the hardest part. When you feel like youīve studied enough and done everything you can to succeed. So you have a friend living there? This was my third time in Germany and it was great, I was visiting a friend I made through these very same boards. Weīve known each other for several years now and sheīs propably the coolest person I know =) Met a lot of cool people, too.

Itīd be really cool to try out some fancier one, Iīd take tons of pictures. Well, I think Imma start drawing more soon also.
It was?O.o By clicking the "PDA" on the top left corner is how Iīve been able to log in all this time.
You mean youīd get messed up when studying for many different things? I think itīs propably wise to just concentrate on one thing at once. I think we were even told at school that we should study for any test on many days before the actual test and not on the previous night.
Heīs still cool although sometimes heīs an idiot =P I think he thought the pond was something he could walk on because the surface was covered with leaves and stuff and you couldnīt really see it was water.
Cool =) I wish i was as brave as going somewhere as an exachange student or as an au pair like my German friend did; she was in NY for a year. But I dontīthink I could be away from my family for a whole year completely. Iīve been considering these volunteering camps though where you work as a volunteer in a country of your choice for 2-3 weeks. Just being curious, exactly where in Germany is your friend staying?
For some reason "Hurt" sounds familiar as a band name but I donīt think Iīve ever heard anything by them. I definitely recommend you check Bring me the horizon, Leathermouth and Stone Temple pilots. Not because I think youīd necessarily like them but because I am curious to hear what you think ^_-
Blah, the pics i took didnīt come out that well after all =/ Mustīve used the wrong photographing mode or something. I also have just some regular digital camera, iīve been considering on buying a "järjestelmäkamera" but those are really expensive and i donīt take photos regularly or anything so i donīt think i should buy one really.
wohooo, yay! I should be getting the keys to my apartment tomorrow ^_^

Um, I signed in but it took me to this prehistoric MB.. ?
No, I mean get messed up in general. It has to do with the brain being a tube and stuff, thatīs why you shouldnīt read the previous night. Need to give the subconcience time to get things together, otherwise trying to put more new stuff will throw out stuff from the other end of the tube. Also thatīs why you should study in small sections and let the brain kinda connect them by itself.
Well, we all have our moments:D
Yeah, me too.. itīs really not that little thing to go somewhere like that.. well, I donīt think Iīd have the change otherwise anyways, it takes money also I think.. many youngsters seem to travel nowadays. Sure itīs easier nowadays, which is cool. Sheīs staying in this little village called Gleichen, near Göttingen where ppl go to school.
K, I promise I check something from those bands out soon, like myspace. Hurt also got some cool stuff on their myspace and some acoustic stuff on youtube..
Man, itīd be cool to have a proper camera, but it also takes money.. maby I could try and get somekinda job when I got the reading holiday or smthng. Would be cool to have some own money too:(
..OR live alone like you.. except maby for all the stuff you have to take care of when living alone.
Ok, now I really need to g oto bed, got a normal test tomorrow so I need to wake up. I had the last kirjoitus exam and I wrote 21 pages biology. Phew, almosst ran out of time, took over 5 hours. Will check here tomorrow again I quess.

Yeah and then you just click on "Linkin Park message board" and it should take you to the one that is up to date. You might have to click it more than once though.
Aaah, I see. I think we actually were told about that at school on psychology in some point because it sounds familiar. Makes sense too I guess =)
It takes many yes and although this might sound arrogant or whatever, it is only money. Thereīs way more important stuff to worry about than money, itīs saddening how much time people have to spend worrying about something so meaningless in the end =/ Iīm not, at any rate, saying like I had lots of money but...I donīt know, just how I feel about it. I wouldnīt have been able to do this trip to Germany and hopefully one to London next month if I didnīt have money saved. itīs not that expensive to fly to places these days anyways if you just manage to find the right "lentoyhtiöt"; last year, we flew to Germany and back and only payed 82 euros for it. Of course, staying at wherever you are going takes money too. I used to think that I would never go abroad and I did so definitely donīt start thinking you wonīt either, you will someday =)
Hmmm, never heard of the place sheīs staying but Iīm not good at geography anyways XD The place I visited was Stadtprozelten which is a small town with about 1800 people living there. Itīs so easy to get confused with the town/city names there because wherever we drove, there were several of them along the way.
Ok, Iīll try to remember to check out Hurt then ^_- Iīm so excited because my friend was in NY just recently and saw Leathermouth for 3 times and she got me a poster with autographs from two of the members from the band and the poster is awesome!
Iīll definitely recommend getting a job if it wonīt get too tough on you while studying that is. How long will the reading holiday or whatever be then? Itīs one of the best feelings to be able to buy something bigger, like a camera and know that you bought it with money you earned for yourself =)
The stuff Iīve had to take care of since Iīve been moving out havenīt really been as much as I thought it would be. Iīm jsut getting kinda annoyed with my parents fussing so much about it although they mean well =P Iīm going to have a sauna at our house and then go over to my place to spend my first night there, eep. Going to rent a couple of movies. weīve got most of my stuff there already, i just need to empty my bookshelf and wardrobe in our house and then Iīm done here and nothing but unpacking all the boxes left in the apartment =P
^^Also the reason I havenīt been logging on the last few days, i read your comment earlier though. 21 pages for biology sounds good to me so i also hope you did well with it and all your exams =]

Ohh, now it seemed to work.. thereīs still the "Sign In" option up there, so maby I just write and donīt get anything posted (need to copy this one just incase)
Yeah, Iīve been thinking about that money thing too. And I think the same way, people seem to worry too much about money. It does make life easier and you need money to live basically, but also itīs made for using.. and if we think globally God knows how many ppl have been killed for it.. and in the end, itīs just pieces of paper with numbers and someone says you can have, for example, a bread with some number on the paper. And nowadays lots of it is not even physical, just zeros and ones on the internet.. weird. (ha, the first thing that came to mind was "Between angels and insects2 by Papa Roach when I read that. "Thereīs no money, thereīs no posessions, only obsession, I donīt need that shit.."
Sure the people that have lotsa money donīt need to worry about it, which is a great position to be in ofcourse. And itīs harder to do something "bigger" usually if youīre not that wealthy.
Need to think about that job thingy.. the lukuloma depends on the person, normally during the last year, ppl donīt have to go to any more courses unless they want to in the spring, so I think itīs quite a few weeks..
Right, must be cool to finally move out:cool: . And thanks, some of the questions seemed a bit strange, I mean I found out that you basically need to answer more what they literally ask in some of them, but then again they say you should only answer what they ask normally.. but Iīm sure Iīm on the right track at least with most of the answers I did.
Well, now Iīve got a bit longer weekend and I need to decide a subject for my art diploma.. Iīm pretty sure Iīm going to take this addiction subject.. intersting..
..and now I need to go cleaning my room a bit.
I usually write one-page essays at exams so my matriculation examination essays will probably be three pages long or so... :D Hopefully not!
I bought a new camera a couple of weeks ago but I'm a little dissatisfied with it. Well, the pics are great when it's sunny and I take pictures outside between 12 and 2pm, but when photographing inside or outside after 4pm, it's a hopeless attempt. Of course the flash helps inside, but then the pics.. you know.
Argh I'm at dad's, I'm sitting in a dark living room without lights on and the keyboard's black..! I'm a too sparing person to switch a light on.

Ohh, tha was the fancy word.. Well, in finnish you could almost leave a 3- page essay. But yeah, we had 8 questions, so I did one page for some question and 5 for some.
Yeah, I have the same problem with the keyboard:p
Hm.. now that I got more time it feels like I should be doing something all the time..

The funny thing is that I came home and just noticed that my laptop's keyboard is also black.
We had to study shool and studying vocabulary on one of our English courses and "matriculation examination" was the hardest word for me, so once I learned it I've remembered it ever since.
I'll have my last exam, French, tomorrow and Tuesday will be a day off. I've already had five exams so I'm becoming a bit tired of all the reading and studying and revising! I don't wanna even think about preparing for the matriculation examination...

Yeah, well our testweek just started as we were having the last matriculation examinations, so I havenīt been studying for the normal tests. I had only finnish, so it was easier not to, I have couple of more coming also, quess I could check out some maths. But really after the matriculation examinations the normal exams donīt feel something to worry about anymore really. Theyīre so small, you know:cool:.. compared to matriculation examination
..oh, and matriculation examination.
..and did I forget to mention btw: matriculation examination.
Sorry:cool:
Matriculation examination.
ation ation ation! :p
You could "check out some maths"? Oh, wish I was a genius and didn't need to study maths like.. for over a week just to get even a 7 of a test. "Luckily" it's advanced maths so the 5s and 6s are in a way good grades. :D
I should check which books I gotta buy tomorrow for the next module.
thenewLinkinPete
09-28-2008, 12:57 PM
Well, itī short maths and I think I should do more for it, but I dunno if I have the excitement to do it now.. I might get a decent grade anyways. Like I said, doesnīt feel nearly as big as the nation.
I need to buy some books too, for this module I needed to buy excatly one book:cool:
But letīs talk about something else that school, shall we?
Agreed, er... What else could it be then.. I'm so bad at conjuring up something to talk about! It's always either school or LP. Any ideas?
thenewLinkinPete
09-30-2008, 05:46 AM
Well, LPīs always a grat subject, dunno what about them right now then, though. Someone was whihing and wanting the old style back in the new album- thread.. uuugh, still after all this time some ppl keep on going, like we didnīt have the same debate last spring..
Anyone else into drawing or painting or anything? Iīd like to start drawing more again, and am collecting ideas. Iīm also starting the artdiploma in school.. well, thatīs slighlty about school..
Anyone plays an instrument? I havenīt playing that long (guitar) and I regret that I didnī start it long ago.. itīd be so cool to get classes. Or anyone likes to sing? Thatīd be also cool to learn more.
Anyone read or is reading a good book? I just got this book from sir Arthur Conan Doyle (the write of Sherlock Holmes) from the 19th century, where he tells about his spiritistic sessions and experiences and is studying life after death. Cool.
There, a few possible subjects for someone maby...
(the finnish board is dead, btw)

I canīt sign in through that, it wonīt accept my password or screen name. This place isnīt only dead but fucked up aswell =P
I wouldnīt say being rich was a good position to be in; I mean of course if you only think of it in the sense of being able to afford anything you want. But how rewarding is that in the end? To be able to have anything you want, it must lose itīs meaning in some point. You think owning things can make you happy and you just buy and buy and buy more until even that doesnīt make you feel anything. Not to mention how some people become greedy.
I sincerely wish it would be possible that everyone could have the same amount of money and be equal. Same with food too.
Cool! You could make a lot of money during that time so you should start looking for jobs to apply to ^_^ I will apparently continue working at the dry cleaners after the end of this year aswell which is financially a relief as i wonīt have to worry how i will be able to afford living on my own and stuff.
Itīs cool but also really weird but i think itīs suppose to be and iīll get used to it =) Iīll be still hanging at our house a lot.
I suppose itīs always the best to answer even some extraon whatever question in a an exam although i assume that they canīt give you any extra points for it.
Care to elaborate more than that? Will it be like your final work?
Edit: The amount of stuff we can talk about is endless =P Ok, maybe not but thereīs still a lot we could talk about. As i think iīve already told in this thread, i donīt draw or paint or play any instruments so i donīt have much to contribute to those subjects. as for books...I love reading, i have always read a lot but nowadays i havenīt got to do as much of it as i wouldīve liked to. Thatīs what working does to you, youīll feel less like doing the things you love doing. However, at the moment I am reading "Geek Love" by Katherine Dunn and Iīll have to ask you to google for it in case youīd like to know what itīs about =P

Well, I dunno what can happen when updating pages and such..
Hm.. true, I quess it depends on the amount of richness (heh).. I quess everything can go to extreme.
Hmmm, the book seems pretty freaky, howīd you end up reading that? Iīm reaading this dreambook..maby I could learn how to fly in my dreams or smthng:cool:
And about the artdiploma: itīs a bit both, itīs one course but in order to do it I need to have most of the other courses done.
It includes the actual work (I took the addiction- thingy. Need to handle one human addiction somehow), which is done in school, we have a certain amount of hours for it. Also it includes a portfolio where we need to put our scetches and plands and stuff and date them and so on, to capture the proses (so even though youīd have the whole idea sortet out, you need so ponder on it). The it includes a bit exam- like essay about the work. But Imma start it after about 6 weeks from now, so nothing more about that for a while.
Uuh.. maby I forgot smthng, Iīve been struggling with stomachackhe here..
Oh, and I spend the whole night at my school, we had this "munarock" happening there. Bands playing, it was nice and I got into the pit a few times too. You tend to smell after jumping around with sweaty dudes like that.

True, but financial security lets you live without the fear of not getting by or sinking into huge debt. If you know how to use your money, that is. I wouldn't mind being rich. It doesn't make you happy but it does give you security and peace of mind to focus on all those other things that do make you happy, instead of working your ass off every day and counting your pennies in the evening and worrying if there's enough of them to buy you food for the next month.
Hi. The boards let me on again. Weird.
