just wanted to relay a couple great things about the special edition versions of the album.

first, the in-store special edition...i think the retail price was like $27 US or something like that, but MOST places are selling it for around $18 right now, which is amazing. i even heard of people buying it at places like target and best buy for around $16. if you haven't heard--the DVD it comes with has a 45 minute film about the making of, the W.I.D. video, the W.I.D. making of, plus a bunch of other stuff. it's pretty much the most amount of stuff we could get away with packing onto a special edition, and it's a remarkable deal at less than $20 US.

second, i just got the first copy of the internet-only book (around $100 US). i can't believe how good it came out. kudos to our art director, frank, and all the artists invovled. that thing is a monster...i hope you all like it. the prints came out great, too--i think they'd look good matted and framed together...

anyway, just wanted to put that stuff out there, for those who are looking to pick that stuff up.

Just a quick shout out to any members of LP who view this - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ALBUM! Although I am still waiting for it to be delivered (I ordered the Super Fan Edition) I have heard the album at my friends house. THIS ALBUM IS GREAT. Although I still like alot of your older stuff more (just a bit), this is really a great set of songs!

I'm holding a listening party this weekend with a group of friends to play through all the CDs & DVDs, so fingers crossed it'll be here by then.

Minutes To Midnight sold out in the first four hours of it's release in my area, and it's almost impossible to get a hold of the special edition without ordering copies in through the music stores as they sell before the hit the shelves

Just received the internet-only edition of MTM. All I can say is wow! This is by far the nicest album I've ever purchased. Great job on the layout and images (the one with the American Flag in the tracking room is awesome). The artwork is definitely frameable.

Oh and the music is great too! :D Thanks for all of your hard work on this album. Can't wait to see you guys on tour again!

ya mike, i just got my copy of the art book on Saturday and it is amazing. i love it. the art is amazing, the photos the prints. it was so worth the 100 dollars (which i had to work my ass off to get) :D

Unfortunately the special features on my DVD(s) don't/haven't worked (i'm on my 3rd replacement!)... so im now kinda just waiting for something official from Warner...

hey mike,im realy glad about this album,but the special edition isnt avaible in brazil,just importing,and for me is hard bc i dont have international credit card,but i got the normal edition for minutes and i listen everyday,is so awesome album(except your song hehehehe),so contragulations to got number one in so much countries including brazil,and back here soon,come here is so cool,have everything they like to eat ;)

Nothing much on the Special edition, just a little bit of No Road's left in the Making of MTM. Nothing much till now. We got No Road's Left. Grecian is not a bonus track tho.

I got the CD/DVD edition too, it´s great! I was expecting it to be like Meteroa style package, but it turned out to be this book-like, it´s awesome! and the art inside is amazing, especially that strange painting next to Bleed It Out lyrics and the guy whose head is pouring somewhere next to What I´ve Done.. and also the paintings of you and the pict...oh, well, everything!:D

and the DVD is hilarious, but also tells like "serious" stuff about the record making..Chester is soo funny, especially when he´s chasing you half naked:D I realised I have to watch it again soon..

The thing i respect is how do you do these things as good as possible and put all this stuff out for us, huge thanks for that. and in general ,you sociate with your fans.I mean, you COULD act like "rock stars" and not give a shit about people,(cause you are like the biggest band of all) but still you care.

I got the cd only, but then i went to Pinkpop here in Holland and i bought the special edition aswell (meaning i have the cd twice, but the cd only is a white one and the special edition is black) but i noticed that the dvd format is ntsc so i was bummed at first but then my dvd player played it right so i could access all of the stuff and had fun watching it :D
and chester on the xylophone is a very funny piece to watch, hope you guys get to watch it soon because i had a great time watching the making of things and such

Hi all. I too have purchased both the standard CD and the DVD/CD combo special edition. Though I love and am happy to own both I was devastated to find out that the bonus track "No Roads Left" (As performed on the "Making Of..." DVD) isn't on either version. Have I missed it? Can I get it? Loads of online reviews state it's one of the best tracks.
Friends have told me that it was only available on i-tunes, something I don't have access to (I'm sure I'm not alone in that). I've been a loyal LPU member since the very start and am also a member of the Fort Minor Militia. On FMM they released free tracks for members to download on a monthly basis, is the LPU going to do something like that so loyal fans can get the extra tracks?
Please let me know, I LOVE LP and want to get anything and everything they've ever done if I can.

I like the Special Edition... Everything that I have tried out has worked for me and what not... I like the idea of having the entire album on the DVD, I have a really crappy CD player on my stereo and I tend to listen to my CD's through my DVD player... this edition of the album let's me do that and watch all the bonus stuff which makes me very happy ^_^

just wanted to relay a couple great things about the special edition versions of the album.

first, the in-store special edition...i think the retail price was like $27 US or something like that, but MOST places are selling it for around $18 right now, which is amazing. i even heard of people buying it at places like target and best buy for around $16. if you haven't heard--the DVD it comes with has a 45 minute film about the making of, the W.I.D. video, the W.I.D. making of, plus a bunch of other stuff. it's pretty much the most amount of stuff we could get away with packing onto a special edition, and it's a remarkable deal at less than $20 US.

second, i just got the first copy of the internet-only book (around $100 US). i can't believe how good it came out. kudos to our art director, frank, and all the artists invovled. that thing is a monster...i hope you all like it. the prints came out great, too--i think they'd look good matted and framed together...

anyway, just wanted to put that stuff out there, for those who are looking to pick that stuff up.

Got the special edition and lovin it. Really appreciate all the hard work that went into the album and the DVD. Best Buy advertised the DVD as DVD-A and I was disappointed to hear it in stereo only. Any chance of a DVD-A version of MTM in the future?

i got the special edition the day it came out, i was just looking for the actual album on the shelves in virgen megastores and i saw a black book looking cd case, then i took it down and saw the new lp logo, the dvd rocks and i hope we see more of this stuff because all of the dvd's yee have released are so funny and really full of intresting things about the band, especially how the ''poper stoper'' works :D that was absolutly hilearious

Thank God my DVD works, i was worried it wouldn't, the bonus stuff i.e. toolkit, wallpapers and icons are all working fine. I think the art work and basically just the whole booklet is beautiful. Like what every one else said, to witness the process of the making of MTM, truly makes you feel more appreciative of the songs and effort you guys have invested into the album (who gives a shit about the negative criticism MTM got when it was released?) Just for the record, i live in Singapore and i got mine for approximately US$20 from the HMV store. And hell yeah, Chester's xylophone act cracked me up bad! Phoenix's little multitasking pizza-flavoured Pringle moment was cute too.

I got the CD/DVD version first, then through one accident the normal version, and yesterday I found (and couldn´t resist) the new edition with No Roads Left, What I´ve Done distorted remix and Given Up live, plus the link to the live stuff.. and the fact is I have Bleed It Out single, so I already had those other tracks, but just for NRL.. had to do it.. no more youtubequality for me.. too bad my computer is too lazy, so it seems I can´t get the live songs.. it only says "test page".. dunno.. also must be my computer too, that I can´t get anything out of the DVD with it..

..kinda feel like a collector now..
