US nu-metal outfit Linkin Park have earned their second UK number one album with Minutes to Midnight, ending Arctic Monkeys four-week reign at the top of the charts.

The six-strong Californian group got their first number one four years ago with second album Meteora.

hmmmm it was inevitable i guess. keep people guessing what youre doing and leave them starved for some new stuff then release it and hey presto all the old fans want to know what youve done.

funny thing is that the album charts is not a count of how many people liked the stuff you put on it :p
