So what is your all time favorite song on this new album? i know it might be hard to pick just one... but i thought this kind of topic would be a good idea...
btw, i excluded What I've Done and Wake... because you can only have a maximum of 10 options in a poll... but if you like What I've Done the best, then sorry i left that one out... but just about everyone's heard that one and liked it, so i left it out...
if it is your favorite, then just make a post saying so... then maybe i will count up how many people would've picked that song, and then i'll make a post periodically with the results...thats the best i could do i guess...
oh yeah, and try to keep this topic bumped... it would be cool to see what everyone's favorite song is as more and more people purchase and listen to the album...

Didn't think a choice could ever be so hard. I adore Bleed It out and Leave out All the Rest, just to make a few names, but I love the whole record.

The best song is What Ive Done, 2nd best is No More Sorrow, but even those 2 suck. Everything else on the CD is worth buring or somthin, rest is trash music. Rap is bad, Rock has no feeling behind it, It sounds to me like greenday.

same here...haha. i was choosing between Leave Out All the Rest, Hands Held High, No More Sorrow, Valentine's Day, In Pieces, and The Little Things Give You Away. but in the end, i voted for The Little Things Give You Away. I love how that song picks up, and then the little drumming part right before the solo, and then the ending... it's really well done...i was surprised that LP could write a song like this at first, and i agree with them when they said it is their best song so far...
but i also think that just about every song on this album is one of their best... along with many of their songs from their previous albums as well...

looks like Leave Out All The Rest is the most popular song right now... i think that song would make a great new single, either that or maybe Shadow of the Day. even Hands Held High would be another great choice... but anyway, one more day til the album comes out in the US!! i'm gonna buy it even though i already downloaded the album.... i really want to check out the artwork and behind the scenes stuff...

Hmm...my fav song on MTM. That's a hard one. The album jut came out and I can't realy decide until I've listened to it a couple of times. But right now my fav is In Between. This song gave me goosebumbs and I almost cried. I haven't had that kind of response to a song since With You. So I guess that's a reason to make it my fav. But if I'm in a rock mood I just put on Bleed It Out.
Valentines Day is so unbelievably crap.
Its is the worst song ever by LP, and I have never hated a song off of any album except the version of High Voltage on Reanimation.
No more sorrow, bleed it out, in between and given up are brilliant.
At the moment, Given Up is my favourite, but it may change until the end of the day :D

this is what you would call an opinion. saying something sucks or "is so unbelievably crap." is different than sayin you don't like it... if someone says a song is crappy or sucks, they are specifically saying that the song is bad. if someone says they don't like the song, they are specifically saying that the song is bad in their opinion, and they don't like how it sounds.
i'm just sayin, get it right next time. because none of the songs are "unbelievably crap." some of them just aren't what you're used to listening to... i disliked many of the songs on the album when i first heard it, and even questioned if it was linkin park at all. but then i listened, and i mean really listened to everything that each song is, and i came to understand this new sound from them, and appreciate the songs for what they are. but again those are my opinons. personally, i really like Valentine's Day(i mean the song. i'm not too fond of the holiday...). in particular, i like how the drums sound, and the piano elements in this song as well... this, along with all the other songs, is written very well...
but anyway, i did like your review of the album tho. even tho i disagree with some of your opinions... at least you took the time to actually listen to all the songs. some people hear just a few songs, and don't even listen to the whole album in sequential order, and they think they can judge it...most of the time, saying it "sucks." or LP is dead. or, my favorite, "I have lost all hope in humanity." idk why, but for some reason i have to laugh when people say that...

i think more and more people will start to realize that even tho they changed their sound, LP is still LP. and when more people realize that, they will, in turn, start to like this album more... when most people start to listen to it, they are getting into it thinking that it will sound pretty much the same as the previous 2 albums, and when they don't hear that sound, they just push it off as just another sell-out, rock turned soft band.
but that is clearly not the case at all... if you truly listen to the lyrics along with the entirety of each song, you can see for yourself, that LP did NOT sell out, nor did they make just another political album... it's much more than that, and i highly suggest that if you can't see that, then please, listen to it a few more times... if it still hasn't grown on you, then thats okay too. i'm just saying, you really have to listen to it many times from start to finish and then hopefully you'll see that this is just as great as their previous two albums...

i think so, but i'm not sure. i'm not gonna say yes without knowing for sure. i still have yet to buy the album, but currently, i'm out of cash. but as soon as i get enough money, i'm driving right to the nearest store to buy it, hopefully the special edition with the DVD...

i like that song alot now too. i didn't before but after listening to it many times, i do. mike's vocals are what carries that song on. with vocals like that, i don't think you really need guitars or drums or whatever. i see now what chester said before, about mike being really serious about what he was singing, and that whatever he's apologizing for, he fucking serious... chester said something along the lines of that...

I like Leave Out All The Rest the most but all the songs are great....i like the softer songs more if you wanna call them that...they are deeper with more meaning to them for me. Leave Out All The Rest should be a single and video for sure!

i think that would be awesome if LP went to New Orleans and played The Little Things Give You Away. Even tho i would not be able to go cause i live so far away from there, i know that it would most likely mean a great deal to a lot of people there if they played that song... it would show that LP is more than just an average mainstream band...in my opinion. but if they do play in New Orleans, they should play that song last, for a finale type of thing... i only hope that someone video tapes it so i could see it on youtube or something... i think it would be awesome to watch them play that song live...

I would have picked What I've Done as well. But going on what's there, I picked No More Sorrow.

I was choosing between Shadow of the Day and The Little Things Give You Away...but then i just chose shadow of the day. hehehe, it just has that sweet melody that you wana keep inside ur head XD. I hope they release that as a single. :D

When I first got the album and was flicking through it, 'Leave Out All The Rest' really caught my attention. It's still my favourite song! 'Shadow of the Day' is a close second (I was wondering when I'd hear Chester sing a whole song without screaming :) ).

a lot of the songs are really good - not as high in tempo as meteora or hybrid theory but good all the same. chester's voice in shadow of the day is really something special, and it really sums up how he's evolved as a singer over the course of LP's career. :)
