Iv'e listened a few songs, but i'm not sure if it's linkinpark's song. I cannot hear Mike and that, probably, make me to think that is linkinpark. To you can listen that song post me your mail and i'll reply you with a song of that album. The album is named "Splitting the DNA" and contains "Just like Heroin". If someone knows more about this pleas post here!

Nopes. Chester first broke up with Grey Daze, then grey daze' manager found out Xero was looking for a vocalist, and told chester and the rest is history.

be careful when compiling the two grey daze albums on limewire or any p2p program, because lots of songs are improperly titled, and there are also a few songs on the first album 'wake me' that are also redone on the second album

That's right but a small part is wrong, Jeff Blue (if I'm not mistaken) was not Grey Daze's manager. He just worked with Grey Daze before. Like, he knew Chester, and he knew Xero was finding a vocalist so he helped them out.

Jeff Blue was Xero/Hybrid Theory's A&R guy (or something to that effect) at that point, and he knew about Chester somehow (I wanna say he saw Grey Daze live but I'm not positive). He pulled a few strings, had an instrumental demo tape sent to Chester in Arizona, Chester recorded the vocals (on his birthday, no less), and called them back. Instead of waiting the few days it'd take to mail the tape back to them, he just played it for them over the phone, and they were so impressed they flew him out to L.A. the next day.

And they all lived happily ever after. Except for Jeff Blue, who went on to try to turn LP into the band that he wanted them to be, and later on had a song called Get Me Gone written partially about him.

Yup yup *clap*. You know the best answer, ha. And this is what Jeff has to say about Linkin Park
HQ: How did Linkin Park come about?

I’ve always had interns working for me. When I was at Zomba Music Publishing I had an intern from UCLA named Brad Delson. He saw me signing Macy Gray and Limp Bizkit. He was a very talkative kid, very self-assured. He told me that he was starting a band and that it was going to be bigger than any of my other bands. He was like a kid brother to me. He gave me some early songs, and I gave him a hard time about them. I went to see his band anyway, the first show they ever did, was really impressed, and offered them a publishing/development deal on the spot. We ended up doing the deal but I couldn’t get the band signed. I went through two bass players and one singer. Almost three years into the band I found Chester Bennington. I was at a music conference and a friend told me about this singer from Phoenix. I was so desperate I called him up when I was in Texas and told him, “I’m sending you the music and the original songs and I want you to sing over them.” It was his birthday, and he said he couldn’t do it, so I promised him that this band was going to be huge and asked him if he could please do this for me. He actually left his birthday party, went into a local studio at night, sang the tracks and sent them back to me the next day. When I received them at my house, I listened to them, thought they were really good, and told the band that I had found their singer. It took a while, they auditioned a lot of people, but eventually Chester managed to get into the band. I was adamant about Chester being in the band. I was totally convinced, so I flew him out on my own dime. I just knew this was the kid. Obviously he is one of the most talented vocalists in the music business. He combined with Mike, Brad, Phoenix, Joe and Rob are just pure talent and have, I believe, a very long career ahead of them.

And they all lived happily ever after. Except for Jeff Blue, who went on to try to turn LP into the band that he wanted them to be, and later on had a song called Get Me Gone written partially about him.
Get Me Gone is about him? Really? Cause he said for 3 and 1/2 years, he spent everyday with LP, I wonder how Mike could stand his face at all, XD (now after listening to GMG, that image of Mike with Jeff voodoo in hands just pop up constantly in my head :D )
Okay, I will just believe anything you say, because you're Aphelion ;), but then how do you know this? Source, please?

I don't really have a source for this, I just think it makes sense, because if you go through the credits on LP's more recent work, Jeff Blue isn't mentioned anywhere. Kinda strange that someone who had such a huge impact on the formation of the band and helped them get their big break seems to have just dropped off the face of the earth. Plus it seems like it could be about him, I saw a clip where Jeff was talking to Mike about making In the End the next single (this was in 2001) and he was just rambling on and on about how awesome In the End was because it was so "radio-friendly." And Mike was just kinda looking at him with this "Uhhh..." look on his face. Jeff seems like a match for the guy Mike was describing at the start of Get Me Gone.

that up there is a fine piece of information, thank you Aphelion and NoFace.

Sometimes, in this boards, it seems like if people miss the point of what a band is, ignore the music and talk about their hair, and clothes...
