We just have to understand that every song is a great work and guys put all theirs souls in it so as I know (I'm wrighter) it's very painfull when people say that all you've done is sucks... I think saying "worst" song is a bit harsh. But their style has changed a bit and I guess we weren't all ready for it. But that's not at ALL a bad thing. That's why we love What I've done cause it sounds most like the other songs by LP.

I love the lyrics to "In Between". I think they are pretty catchy and true to life, and the subtle differences in each verse were a little clever, albeit slightly repetitive. The music, however, was extremely boring. I mean, I guess it kinda fits the vibe of the song, but seriously, it wasn't LP-caliber. Violin, drums, a little bit of synth. Was there even a guitar? Eh, like I said, boring!

"Valentine's Day" has horrible lyrics. When I heard/read them, I was like, "WTF is this?!" I understand LP doesn't want to have a "style" or a "genre", but this was way of the mark. However, I do have to admit that the musical part of the song is one of the best, if not THE best, songs on the album. The variety in the melody and the hard guitar chorus are wicked awesome.

My other pick would be "Given Up". While it sounds really good at first, it quickly grew old. The clapping and key jiggling could have been replaced with something so much better sounding. They sound good in the Intro, but not so much in the bridge. The lyrics I feel are weak. The f-bomb that Chester keeps dropping comes out sounding awkward, either because it's weird hearing it on an LP album, or because he puts weird emphasis on it. The song overall feels forced, especially when you look at the album as a whole. "Given Up" is the only "hard" song, and it gives off a "something hard for the fans" vibe.

So basically, for my pick, I choose either "Given Up" or "Valentine's Day".

Or Hands Held High. I know people love it because of it's "message", but it's the same message done in a thousand other sounds, and done better. It sounds just jammed in the middle of the album too, like either to add more Mike, or they just wanted more political lyrics in the album, and really sounds like a weird Fort Minor B-Side. Plus, the "Amen"s are dumb.

I parsonally think M2M is too soft. I like the old Hybrid Theory most. It seems like they lost theyre main goal from the beginning, to bring hip hoppers to metal and metalers to hip hop.. no rap anymore except bleed it out =/

About 6 months ago I would of said most songs off the album were bad but now I say In between, it is a "what were they thinking?" song.
Even though I love MTM as an album, I don't want their next one to sound like it or have the same concept.
