Let me see...he proposed by accident. He had been drinking and said he had a question to ask me after he'd moved in. Then he realised what he'd said and I just gave him that look that said "you've started so you'll finish". So he said that he wants to do it properly in a romantic setting once he has the ring, but then he asked me, sat on the floor in front of me on the sofa. I smiled and said yes.

I took a test a couple of weekends ago because I was late, and it was positive. I went to the doctors last week to set things in motion with tests and stuff. I must have fell pregnant the first weekend we were together (even though we'd used protection) lol. Anyway, Ben is going around like an excited schoolkid, all my family are really happy, as are his. There are only 2 people who are being childish about the whole thing - my niece and my friend from the US who's coming to stay in July (and calls me her mama because I'm more of a mother than her real one). They both have decided (without seeing him) that they hate Ben. It's pure jealousy, but it's upsetting me at the moment, especially my niece.

She's 15, but my friend in the US is 19 and she's the same. Both of them talk together about how they don't like him, and she's supposed to be coming over and staying with me for a week in July. At the moment I'm so hurt by their attitudes that I feel like calling it off. Everyone else in the family, and my other friends are really happy for me and like him. They are just being petty, jealous, and childish, and it's upsetting.

P.S. I haven't got a decent pic sorted, but as soon as I have, I'll post it :)
